Dubai: Dubai’s roads and Metro stations along with Burj Khalifa, the tallest tower in the world, went dark for an hour to observe Earth Hour on Saturday night.Dubai Metro passengers walk into a dark station as RTA switched off lights at Metro stations, roads and Customer Happiness Centres to observe Earth Hour from 8.30pm to 9.30pm on Saturday.
Demonstrating its commitment to sustainability, the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai switched off the lights across the city’s roads, Dubai Metro stations, Rashidiya Metro Depot, and Customer Happiness Centres from 8.30pm to 9.30pm.
