UAE tourism revenues reach $12.2bn in 2024 as hotel guest numbers grow 9.5%

The Eau tourism sector continued to grow in 2024, supported by national strategies and directives, said Abdulla Bin Touq to the MARRI, Minister of Economy and President of the Emirates Tourism Council.

The minister said the hotel guests number reached approximately 30.8 million in 2024, an increase of 9.5 percent compared to the previous year.

This figure represents 77 percent of the guest target of the hotel established by the ‘National Tourism Strategy’ ‘of the country, achieved seven years earlier than expected.

“With the current growth trajectory, we are on its way to achieving the ambitious objective of the strategy of attracting 40 million hotel guests,” added Bin Touq.
