The Global Recruitment Specialist Michael Page launched his 2025 Emiratization Salary Guide, providing real -time salary points, specific information of the sector and comparison of the private public sector of the United States for Citizens of the EAU.

The guide is expected to offer clarity in a competitive emiratization panorama, support organizations to align their contracting strategies with the nationalization objectives of the EAU government, including recently introduced fees for SMEs and specific mandates in the sector.

Fulfill the Emiratization objectives

According to the EAU emiratization policy, private sector companies with 50 or more employees must now grow their local workforce by two percent annually, pointing to a 10 percent increase by 2026.

In addition, companies with 20–49 employees operating in 14 key sectors, including finance, ICT, medical care, education, hospitality, construction, must also hire at least two Emirati nationals by 2025. Banking, insurance and professional services are also obliged to achieve established emiratization quotas.

Jon Ede, regional director, EAU, said that with the Eau Government, it now requires that companies on land with 50 or more employees increase their Emirati workforce annually, companies are under more pressure than ever.

“We talk with more and more customers who are not sure about how to address emiratization strategically, not only to continue complying, but to build teams that are truly travelers in the future.

“This guide gives them a clear image of where the salaries are today, so they can plan properly and act with confidence,” he said.

Michael Page’s last guide highlights salary trends in the priority sectors and describes the strategies to help companies attract and retain the talent of the Emiratis, while complying with government quotas and industry expectations.

Ian Pollington, operational director – Emiratization, in Michael Page, said there is still a lot of confusion in the market around how competitive compensation is seen for emirati professionals, especially when the roles of the public sector versus private are compared.

“Since the Eau National represent about 13 percent of the total population, the demand is high and the competition is strong. Our guide helps employers to understand what is realistic, what is competitive and where is the greedy talent. It is built and real conversations.
