The Dubai Marathon has opened the registration for the 25th edition of the Iconic Carrera, which will take place on February 1, 2026.
Celebrating its silver jubilee, the Dubai marathon, the oldest international race in the Middle East, will mark a significant milestone in its history of history and competition at the elite level.
Held under the continuous support of the Dubai Sports Board, the race is recognized for its flat and fast course that has attracted elite athletes and enthusiasts around the world.

With the expected participation of more than 140 countries, the event remains an cornerstone in the Dubai sports calendar and a key accessory in the global marathon circuit.
Recognized as the first race in the region to win the prestigious gold seal of World Athletics, the Dubai marathon has become synonymous with record performances and world -class participation.
The legendary athletes, including Haile Gebrsessie, have adorned their course. Gebgerassie registered the second time of marathon faster in the first appearance in Dubai in Dubai in 2008, a feat that solidified the global position of the race.
The Dubai Sports Board reaffirmed its commitment to support the event, highlighting the contribution of the marathon to the city’s international sports profile and its important economic impact, partly through tourism and hospitality.
In the last 25 years, the event has become the top of the world in the world, attracting first level athletes and thousands of amateur runners every year.
Together with the complete marathon of 42,195 km, the 2026 edition will have a 10 km road race and a fun race of 4 km, offering an inclusive experience for the participants of all levels of physical condition.

The race director, Peter Connerton said: “In coordination with the Dubai Sports Board and other government partners, we are delighted to announce the opening of registration for the 25th Dubai marathon.
“To mark the silver jubilee, we are preparing a series of special events of a year that take up the race.
“Since the inaugural edition, the Dubai marathon has constantly risen to the upper level of global road races.
