President Anura Kumara Disanayake of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka has received HH Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed al Nahyan, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, as part of his work visit to Colombo.
Duration The meeting, HH Sheikh Abdullah transmitted the president’s greetings his highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed al Nahyan and his best wishes for greater progress and prosperity for Sri Lanka and his people.
President Dissanayake, in turn, extended his greetings to the president his highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed and wanted the United Arab Emirates to continue progress and prosperity.
The two parties discussed ways to improve bilateral cooperation in several sectors, based on strong ties and evolving between the two nations.
HH Sheikh Abdullah praised the warm welcome and generous hospitality of the president of Sri Lanka, emphasizing the enthusiasm of the EAU to expand their cooperation with Sri Lanka in support of the development objectives of both countries and the well -being of their peoples.
He reaffirmed Eau’s commitment to build cooperation and association bridges with all friendly countries to promote prosperity, sustainable development and quality of life for all.
President Dissanayake highlighted the depth of the relationship between the two countries and praised the outstanding regional and international position of the EAU.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of State; Saeed Mubarak al Hajeri, assistant minister of economic and commercial affairs; Abdulla Ahmed Balalaa, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Energy and Sustainability Affairs; and Khaled Nasser Al Ameri, Ambassador of the EAU in Sri Lanka.
