Microsoft and Du will collaborate to open a massive data center of $ 545 million in Dubai.
Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Heir Prince of Dubai, VicePrimer Minister, Minister of Defense and president of the Board of Trust of the Future Dubai Foundation, witnessed the announcement of the land of Earth Aed2bn.
The installation will be developed and operated by DU in collaboration with Microsoft.

The announcement was made of the visit of Sheikh Hamdan at the 2025th Week of Dubai AI, which is organized by the Dubai Center for Artificial Intelligence, an initiative of the Dubai Future Foundation.
The one -week event extends until April 25 in multiple locations, including the Museum of the Future, Area 2071 and Emirates Towers Boulevard.
The Hyperscala Data Center will be developed in multiple phases, progressively expanding the ability to meet the growing demand.
Microsoft will serve as the main tenant, taking advantage of the advanced installation computing capabilities to admit its cloud infrastructure and the next alternation digital services.
Sheikh Hamdan said: “The project marks a significant investment in digital infrastructure, reinforcing Dubai’s leadership in the adoption of the latest technologies, innovations and digital services.
“The data are the richness of the future and the basis of technological progress. We continue to support local and international companies as we take advantage of innovative ways to benefit our communities.”
The project marks a fundamental jump in Dubai’s strategy to transform its digital ecosystem, Goeyond Core Telecom Services and establish a critical infrastructure that supports future economies.
The center will play a vital role in addressing the growing demand for AI capacities and sovereign cloud solutions, as well as a demand for greater digital capacity throughout the region.
The announcement of the new Hyperscala Data Center Project of DU supports the objectives of the Blueprint Universal Dubai for artificial intelligence, announced in 2024 by Sheikh Hamdan.
The plan focuses on developing national talent, integrating AI in the government sector and expanding the infrastructure of the data center in the city.
Since its launch, the Plan has promoted significant progress in the development of data centers and has led to a substantial increase in investments in the sector.
This center also reinforces the role of technological advancement in the configuration of the future economy and improving the quality of life. In addition, it reflects EAU’s commitment to global leadership in innovation and sustainability.
Currently, DU operates several data centers sites in the EAU, which offers safe and scalable base for digital applications and services.
The 2025 Dubai AI week is organizing participants from more than 100 nationalities, with more than 180 speakers, more than 150 sessions and workshops, and more than 140 activities.
The event brings together global thinking leaders of new companies, companies, governments and academia to shape the future of artificial intelligence.
