The announcement was made at QASR al Bahr in Abu Dhabi, where HH Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed received a delegation from the Community Development Department, Abu Dhabi, directed by the president of the department, Dr. Haly Famy, general director of Family Maryam Mohammed al Rumaithi, in addition to representatives of the entities participating in the Barakatna initiative.
According to the supervision of the Community Development Department, and in collaboration with the Family Development Foundation and several entities and organizations involved in the social sector of Abu Dhabi, the initiative seeks to improve the efficiency of home care provided to older people in an adequate family environment and aims to guarantee a stable, healthy and full life for older people within their families.
HH Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed emphasized the importance of this community initiative as a continuation of efforts to take care of the elderly, ensuring their dignity and well -being while recognizing their invaluable contributions and its role as a cornerstone of the development of the nation. His highness stressed that the Barakatna initiative is a measure of the appreciation and gratitude of the EAU for the sacrifices made by the elderly in the progress of the progress of the nations.
His highness reaffirmed the important role played by the elderly, describing them as a vital pillar of society whose wisdom, experience and resistance help guide the younger generations. He emphasizes that they remain an integral part of the social fabric of the nation, serving as models to follow through their dedication and determination, and inspiring the ethers to continue the progress trip of the EAU. The Barakatna initiative aims to strengthen family ties and cohesion through the development of an integrated community services system designed to relieve everyday life, train people to effectively care for their relatives and help caregivers achieve a balance between their personal, professional and social responsibilities. These services are aimed at guaranteeing the well -being of the elderly while fossing family cohesion, contributing to build a more united and harmonious society that reflects the deeply rooted values of the EAU.
HH Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan has supported the services and programs of the initiative, which include six pioneer services implemented by a group of entities of the social sector in Abu Dhabi. These entities include the Community Development Department, the Family Development Foundation, the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority, the Department of Municipalities and Transportation, the Government’s authorization department and the Abu Dhabi Real Estate Center.
HH Sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan said that guaranteeing the well -being of the elderly is not simply a social priority backed by the leadership of the EAU, but a deeply rooted respect in the facilities and the future for the institutions laid the foundations of progress and development of nations.
Key services within the initiative include the temporary alternative service for older people in cases where family members cannot comply with caregivers. The launch of the initiative was attended by HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Presidential Court of Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohamed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, advisor to the president of the EAU; Mohammed Ali al Shorafa, president of the Department of Municipalities and Transportation; and Ahmed Tamim al Kuttab, president of the Government’s authorization department, in addition to several other officials.
