AKI unveils 1 million sq ft fulfilment centre in Dubai Industrial City

Al Khayyat Investments (AKI) has launched a new satisfaction and innovation center in Dubai Industrial City, significantly expanding its operational capabilities in the region.

The installation of 1 million square feet quadruplates the AKIS compliance capacity and currently processes more than 500,000 units per day, with infrastructure to manage up to 1.5 million units.

Zaid S. Al Khayyat, managing director of AKI, said: “AKI was founded on a spirit of intelligent agility and business energy. This new satisfaction and innovation center carries out the values ​​as we aspire to take advantage of new opportunities. Operations.

Aki expands logistics

The center includes provisions for additional expansion of 200,000 square feet in the future. The installation will serve more than 30,000 commercial customers and support the delivery of homes for the EAU consumers who use the Retail and Electronic Commerce services of AKI.

This development is aligned with Dubai’s economic agenda (D33), whose objective is to take advantage of the strategic location and Dubai infrastructure to attract international companies and investments.

The EAU recently announced plans to strengthen the position as a global shopping center and increase its value from the logistics sector to more than 200 billion AED2 billion annually within seven years, according to the EAU cabinet.

Aki, a private Emirati holding company, has been developing its supply chain infrastructure for more than four decades.

The company manages end -to -end operations in multiple sectors, including pharmaceutical products, medical equipment, retailers, consumer goods, physical aptitude, automaker, environmental services and hiring.

Saud Abu Alshawareb, Executive Vice President – Industrial in the Tecom PJSC group, welcomed the development: “Dubai Industrial City is proud to be the home of the new AKI compliance center. According to Samer Sabri, director of the group’s supply chain in AKI, “this installation is a testimony of the extraordinary equipment within AKI that adopt various thoughts to boost the limits, make more and establish the reference point in excellence in the supply chain. The installation, ensuring the fastest and most efficient distribution capabilities for our commercial growth ecosystem.”

The center incorporates characteristics of digital transformation and sustainability in its design, with avant -garde technologies to increase supply chain and compliance productivity. Its location provides connectivity to the main transport networks, including ports, the load terminal of the Railroad Etihad and future expansions at the Maktoum International Airport.
