First, what about the name?
[Laughs] Krum is named after my cats, Kitty and Crumpet. Every time I extended my mat, they stretched with me, so they became part of the brand!
Tell us about inspiration to start your brand?
I started Krump because I was frustrated with low quality accessories that did not last. The grip socks were not spooky, the bands broke, the ankles weights rubbed. I wanted to create products that were elegant but durable: grip of that real grip, bands that do not slide and ankle weights that feel as good as they look.
How does Krupp stand out in the well -being market?
We fuse aesthetics with the function while prioritizing sustainability. Our accessories use recycled materials whenever possible, only in packaging. With approximately 10 years in the industry, design each piece meticulously, ensuring that they are elegant and high performance.
What is dedicated to creating the perfect Pilates accessory?
It all starts with the sensation: if it is uncomfortable, you won it. We tested innumerable samples to improve the adjustment of our carpets, the adjustment of the weights of the ankles and the balance of the stretch and resistance resistance bands. Each Krump piece is refined until it meets our high standards.
What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them?
Building Krip has been an adventure! Supply quality materials, supplier management and marketing management were all learning curves. We refuse to cut corners, spotting with sustainability. Research, patience and trust experts helped us navigate obstacles. We have adopted each and every one of the challenges, honest bone about what we can and cannot do, and we provide our confidence in experts when necessary. It is good to admit that you cannot do everything, and we have learned that there is always a solution, whatever happens.
The Pilates community in the EAU is growing rapidly. What are your favorite studies?
I have to be partial and mention a couple of studies in which I work! In Dubai, Cima (JVC) stands out for its impressive space and several class offers, while Relive (JGE) is known for its intense training based on results led by exceptional coaches. About Abu Dhabi, Al Bateen Ladies Matcha Club sacrifices the best Pilates experience with a beautiful environment in front of the sea, and Bodytree is an option for expert instruction and conscious movement.
What’s still for Krump? Any exciting release on the horizon?
YEAH! We are working in collaborations that combine the movement and nutrition of new ways. In addition, we have new products that come at the Pilates level level. Stay tuned …
