While it is generally associated with a certain films franchise on 4Th May 2025 was the UMM inaugural half marathon to Quuwain. Organized by the Department of Tourism and Archeology in collaboration with the Emirates Council for Rural Development, the event was carried out in a measured course certified by world athletics and was recognized as a competence of Wanking Imem or IMEPHERE IDE of me or ITK or ITK or ascending IMEPHEREM. Incrustation.

In preparation for my next Ironman in July, I have been trying to improve my career by entering as many long distance races as possible between my triathlon races. As we head towards summer thesis opportunities, locally, they are few and distant. So, when I saw the IG publication, I registered immediately. Uaq was my third half marathon of the season that had previously completed the media Skechers and Dubai Creek. With a running time of 5:45, driving from Dubai required an early start and an opportunity for fuel prior to the race.

Upon arrival there were wide parking and well -being facilities. The configuration of the racing people well with direct access to the output line. Originally, I was going to use the rhythm strategy that I had implemented in my two previous races, but I decided to adjust it a bit, knocking down a few seconds of each 5 km block. After the elites left, I advanced inside the initial pen and touched a stealthy isotonic gel, then we left. As usual, I left a little too fast, but I diminished the speed to be within the rhythm range, my 965 forerunner was a warning. The course was usually quite flat, with unions conluminate and manned by the UAQ police. The racing package in which I was had a lot of encouragement at the beginning with many shouts and music at full volume of a speaker in someone backpack, after the first kilometer that announced the backpack, “Lap 1 Pace 5:17”.

I skipped melee combat in the first aid stations that depended on the stealthy gels in my naked racing belt. After about 12 km, I begin to use the aid stations, taking some sips of water and then throwing the rest on my Omius cover to use its evaporative cooling in the growing heat.

After the change, I assumed that I was directly to the starting finish line, so it was a bit discouraged to see the runners ahead giving a 90 degree turn. When completing that detour, I began to excel more runners who obviously did not have a racing strategy. The heat was quickly drying my cap and its single, so using help stations was now mandatory to stay fresh. In addition to this, I used a stealthy caffeine gel at around 15 km and also with approximately 3 remaining. Despite the closed roads, the spectators occasionally aligned on the route and their cheers provide additional impulse. At the final kilometer I tried to push stronger, before reaching the finish line, my Garmin vibrated to tell me that 21 km had been complete, I crossed the finish line with a distance of 21.25 km. Once up, Strava told me that he had established a new PB for the half marathon.

In summary, from my perspective, the UAQ inaugural half marathon was a successful and well -organized event with other 10 km at 3 km distances to address all skills. The racing town was well configured with many bathrooms and seat areas. Help stations were well supplied and handled without problems or ran out of water, something other breed organizers should notice.
