What is the biggest leadership lesson you learned in 2020 amid the pandemic?

The coronavirus pandemic has reemphasised the power of unity, basics, health and skills. While we are forced to be alone, working in unity can only help us beat this pandemic.

We all have been spoilt and taken things for granted. It has taught us the power of knowing the basics very well, to be able to do what you want with the minimum means and resources. How health is above all and how making it a priority is important.

A small cough gave us shivers! The lockdown gave us a chance to look into our skills. It forced the human race to be creative.

What do you think the biggest game changer will be over the next five years?

If we only knew! The biggest game changer will be the ability to keep a growth mindset. The majority of the world is likely to base decisions of what happened in 2020 and is happening today. They may be frugal, being frugal is easy and always advised, but being optimistic is key to opening new doors. It is on people like us to drive the positive post-pandemic sentiment.

Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup: Second podium of the season for Clément Mateu at the Hungaroring

After two consecutive weekends in Austria, Clément Mateu headed to Hungary to compete in the third round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup.

With a podium finish last week, Clément Mateu as well as the HEXIS and Martinet by Almeras teams are calmly approaching the Hungarian weekend. Hostilities kick off on Friday with a rainy free practice session. The driver of the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup N. 21 quickly found his marks on the Hungarian turnstile and set the 3rd fastest time in the Pro-Am class.

Qualifying takes place the next day on a dry track. The first part of the session is not optimal, but the boss of the HEXIS group does not let himself be defeated and improves his first two partials on his second set of tires, but the time lost in the third sector costs him the 2nd Pro- time. Am and he had to settle for the 4th fastest time in 1: 49.786.

The weather conditions were very uncertain on Sunday but the race was still contested on a dry track. From 4th Pro-Am place on the grid, Clément Mateu has his competitors in sight. A few laps later, his direct competitor, Philipp Sager, gets trapped on the wet astroturf and hits the wall at the exit of the last corner. The race is then neutralized. On the restart, Clément Mateu managed to keep pace with his teammate at Martinet by Alméras, Stéphane Denoual, and finished on the third step of the Pro-Am podium.

This second podium in a row allows the HEXIS driver to make a good accounting operation in the championship. It will return to the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup paddock from July 31 to August 2, on the Silverstone circuit.

Results and times
Free practice: # 21 – P19 (2: 05.886)
Qualifying: # 21 – P22 (1: 49.786)
Race: # 21 – P18 (29: 10.063)

Pro-Am Ranking: 1. Roar LINDLAND – 70 pts; 2. Clément MATEU – 48 pts; 3. Philipp SAGER – 45 pts; 4. Philippe HAEZEBROUCK – 38 pts: 5. Stéphane DENOUAL – 37 pts; 6. Roland BERVILLE – 14 pts…

Clément Mateu, manager of HEXIS and driver of the # 21 Porsche 911 GT3 Cup: “It’s a good weekend overall. I am not yet very satisfied with the pure performance but the race went well with this new podium. The first third of the season is completed, there are positive points and our roadmap is being respected. We will take advantage of these elements to be competitive at Silverstone and try to get closer to Roar Lindland. The team’s results are very positive both in Pro and in the Rookies. “

Invisalign_the invisible braces
Orthodontists first used removable and later fixed appliances to monitor and reduce unnecessary movement of the tooth in three-dimensional space to move the teeth. Dr.GAD states that The Invisalign method is different, in which the aligners have intimate contact with almost the entire tooth crown surface, Attempts to put the best quality of removable and fixed appliances together. It also provides patients with an esthetic touch and undeniable ease, and convenient access to oral hygiene.

The positive thing about Invisalign orthodontic dental procedures is that they do more than just straighten out the teeth. These are also useful for fixing bite problems which often require special diagnosis and treatment. Dr GAD addresses Invisalign’s advantages.

Using Invisalign is an effective approach which is not too complex for tooth movements. A collection of translucent, computer-generated trays with change-outs every two weeks is best worn 24 hours a day. There are several trays which can last from six months to a year. However, these require some form of retention to prevent unintentional shifting of the teeth. One of the greatest benefits is the relative invisibility of the trays. Hence the Invisalign name. Some people just don’t want anyone to know they have braces. They also offer support to people who would like to have straight teeth while also feeling secure in social settings. Wearing Invisalign provides comfort as this does not impact your speech.

The ugly duckling stage

The term ugly duckling stage implies the unesthetic appearance of the infant at this point.

A stage of dental formation, typically between the ages of 7 and 12 years, that precedes the eruption of permanent canines when the upper central and lateral incisors are tilted sidewards due to the crowding of un-erupted canines. Develops a midline space (median diastema), known as the ugly duckling stage. Dr.GAD emphasize that the midline space is typically transitory, and this condition is corrected after the canines have erupted. The canines apply pressure to the crown of the incisors after the eruption. This causes them to move back to the original positions

If there’s not enough space in the mouth for the canines to fit correctly, that’s when we need your child’s braces. But the Intervention should be done at the appropriate time; at this point no orthodontic treatment should be done the canine is in danger of being deflected from its normal eruption route.

Dental care and pregnancy

It is critical that you take good care of your teeth and gums during pregnancy. Pregnancy causes hormonal changes that increase the risk of developing gum disease, which, in turn, can affect the health of your developing child.

Dr.Gad points out some tips to help you keep your oral health healthy before, during and after your pregnancy.

Try to schedule a dental consultation before you become pregnant. In this way, your teeth can be cleaned professionally, gum tissue can be thoroughly inspected and any oral health issues can be treated before your pregnancy.

Although during pregnancy, check with your obstetrician before you get your dental appointment to see if she has any special precautions / guidance for you. Dental routine treatment can be provided at any time during pregnancy, as well as, any urgent procedures. However, all elective dental procedures should be postponed until after delivery.

Dr.Gad emphasize on telling your dentist the names and dosages of all medicines you are taking – including medicines and prenatal vitamins recommended by your doctor – as well as any relevant medical advice your doctor has provided. Based on this information your dentist may need to change your dental care plan.

Advances in technology have made X-rays much better today than they have done in the past decades. So dental X-rays can be used during pregnancy, however, your dentist will take great care to protect your baby and you, such as covering your abdomen and thyroid.

Don’t miss your appointment to dental checkup just because you’re pregnant. Regular periodontal (gum) inspections are now more necessary than any other time, because pregnancy induces hormonal changes that put you at elevated risk for periodontal disease and tender gums that bleed easily.

Pay careful attention to any changes in the gums during pregnancy. If tenderness, bleeding or swelling of the gum happens during your pregnancy at any time, contact your dentist as soon as possible.

To stop and/or eliminate oral health issues implement good oral hygiene practices.

If you have had some gum issues during your pregnancy, visit your dentist soon after delivery to have your whole mouth checked and tested for periodontal health.
