Now, when my cleavage caught your attention, I want you to stop for a second and realize that if we human beings will be continuing going like this we are not gonna make it even to the next decade.

2018: California had 8527 fires burning an area of 1,8 million acres.
2019: in Siberia 7,4 million acres were on fire.
2019: Amazon rainforest 2,2 million acres has been lost to fire.
2020: Australia… 1.25 billion animals have died.
1.250.000.000.
In Kazakhstan plane crushed killing dozens of people and authorities just blamed it to the Ice Buildup.

Ukrainian airliner was shot down by accident in Iran 176 on board were killed.
USA and Iran is about to start a World War III.

And let’s not forget that Syria, Ukraine, Turkey, Libya, Israel and many more countries are still in war… 87% of the World’s Oceans are dying… And we can here only post pretty pictures with pretty captions but prefer not to do and know anything.
But you know what? We actually can!
Small things can change everything.
How about we stop spreading the hate on internet and in real life, if you meet someone rude, just think that maybe something bad happen to that person, and move on, don’t make his hate poison your heart.

Just be honest with yourself and stop blaming others, stop blaming yourself, anyone, just work harder!
We can all live together in peace and help our earth recover, because she is clearly trying to show us the right way.
If we can be united during the disasters, wars, why can’t we be the same united during the normal life, if we don’t learn our lesson now, it will keep going until we finally manage to figure out our life!

Kylie Jenner rocks an Egyptian jewellery brand on Instagram

We break down her look

Kylie Jenner has already proven she is a major fan of Middle Eastern designers, and it seems the 22-year-old is keen to keep championing them.

In a series of recent Instagram posts, the makeup mogul was wearing Egyptian jewellery brand, Jacquie Aiche.

The brand pays tribute to Jacquie’s Egyptian roots, which is where her father is from. While the jewellery is designer is based in Los Angeles, the Middle Eastern influences in her collections are clear with gold and amulets taking centre stage in most of her collections.

Taking to Instagram earlier this month, Kylie showed off her newly lightened hair along with a series of pieces by Jacquie Aiche.

Wearing an all-white ensemble, the billionaire was seen wearing the 14-karat gold moonstone and diamond ring (Dhs 28,000), the 14-karat gold moonstone (Dhs 20,000) and diamond necklace and the moonstone cage necklace (Dhs 32,000), all designed by Jacquie.

Kylie was also wearing multiple diamond Lizzie bracelets, each retailing for Dhs 44,000, also from the Jacquie Aiche brand. Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Rihanna and Miley Cyrus are also some of Jacquie’s top clients.

However, the Kylie isn’t the only member of the Kardashian-Jenner family who has been championing Egyptian brands of late.

Earlier this week, Kylie’s sister, Kendall Jenner, was seen wearing Egyptian jewellery brand Jude Benhalim to accessorise her outfit at a Wild Wild West-themed party.

IMPROVE YOUR PERSONAL BRANDING NOW

We heard constantly how important is to have a strong personal brand and it is so true. It can land you in a better job, get that sought-after promotion, have that salary rise and all in all, have new opportunities in life.

Sounds good, right? It does, indeed! So we wanted to find out more about how can we improve or even start with our personal branding. As usual, we decided to go with the experts and we found Stefania Brunori. She will blow your mind with just a short conversation. That for us means… She knows her stuff! Don´t miss the interview and the next workshop she will be doing in Dubai.

THE INTERVIEW: STEFANIA BRUNORI

How did you become an Entrepreneur? What is your background?

After more than 20 years working at senior positions in Marketing in the corporate world, I finished a 2-year project with Nokia and I couldn’t find a role matching my level of seniority in Dubai, so I had to reinvent myself. I matched my Marketing skills with my passion for Wellness as well as with a market need and decided to launch my first start-up.

I also studied Design and Coaching. Those two disciplines helped me a lot to build brands and go beyond the limitations of a standard 9-5 type of job.

How did your Personal Branding help you to build your career as an entrepreneur?

Having worked in corporate branding for many years gave me an understanding of the power of a brand beyond the tangible attributes. A ring is a ring. And the cost of manufacturing is usually the same for brand A and for brand B. But the margin that the brand gets is directly proportional to the perceived value of the brand rather than the cost itself.

It’s about identifying a niche, a specific group of people with a common need, and solving it with your product and the added perceived value. The same happens with us as professionals, consultants or entrepreneurs. We project an idea about our personal brand, so we shall work on conveying the message that communicates well who we are and what’s our value

Could you share an example where your personal brand made you directly win a project or get a new client?

I got selected for an urgent project for a big client by someone who had never met me in person. Thanks to my Linkedin profile and my brand-building strategy over the years, he thought I was the ideal candidate. We never met: we talked over the phone, and he sent me the brief. I worked, delivered, and by the way, he even paid in advance. It was all about the perceived value of my personal brand, based on trust.

What are the most common mistakes that you see in the Personal Branding of entrepreneurs, consultants or anyone who needs to make their brand visible?

Lack of consistency and strategy. People share a post on social media here and there, not based on a calendar, and without KPIs in mind. Could you imagine a luxury car brand spending thousands of dollars on marketing campaigns without a clear objective of what they want to get out of the campaigns? Or sending confusing messages to the audience, without clarity on the brand values? The same applies to our personal brand. We need to know what we want to communicate, be consistent, and also set goals and measure results regularly.

How can someone take the first steps to build their personal brand? What would you recommend for them?

Clarity. Know thyself, as the ancient Greeks said. You need to know what are your strengths, and your weaknesses. So you will decide which type of projects you can do at your best, and which ones you should not.  A self-assessment is crucial to building a strong brand.

PERSONAL BRANDING WORKSHOP … WE ARE IN!?‍

If someone wants to get some external support in their personal brand, how can you help?

I am running a Personal Branding workshop on 15th February. There I will teach how to use the power of personal branding to ACCELERATE SUCCESS and GROW BUSINESS, either as an entrepreneur or as an employee.

I will share very practical steps to enhance their personal brand, with hands-on exercises and one on one tuition. How to differentiate themselves from peers and competitors, clarify their niche market and discover the best type of client for them, to also attract and engage key decision-makers.

DP World offers up to 70% cut in Jafza company fees

In a far-reaching confidence-building initiative, the cost of licence registration and administration for companies operating in one of the world’s most sought-after business hubs – Jebel Ali Free Zone – will be slashed by up to 70 per cent, DP World, announced on Tuesday.

DP World, UAE Region, which operates the region’s oldest and largest free trade zone, said the initiative would immediately assist more than the 7,500 businesses that operate out of Jafza and hundreds of new businesses attracted by the region’s most sought-after free zone’s plug and play infrastructure and solutions for trade.

The across-the-board reductions in business-related fees by between 50 per cent and 70 per cent will be applicable for registration, licensing and related administrative functions for companies currently operating in Jafza as well as for new investors.

In addition, a range of other online services will now be offered free of cost as a direct result of Jafza’s on-going digitalisation process, DP World, the region’s premier logistics and business hub operator, said in a statement.

Established in 1985, Jafza is home to companies from 100 countries, including Fortune-500 firms. The free zone accounts for almost 23.9 per cent of total foreign direct investment flow into the UAE while contributing 23.8 per cent of Dubai’s GDP. In 2018, the free zone, which is facilitating the employment of more than 150,000 people, generated trade worth $93 billion.

Mohammed Al Muallem, CEO & Managing Director, DP World, UAE Region and CEO of Jafza, said the initiative is highly significant and in line with the recent call by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, to bring down the cost of doing business and enhance investor experience.

Al Muallem said it is a timely move to inspire   customers towards pursuing their business targets with greater confidence and purpose. “It’s specifically designed to create value and opportunities for the companies to channel their resources to support their activities sustainably. We believe this forward-looking initiative will enable companies to do business in a smarter way and generate more business and create new jobs.”

“Trade has always powered Dubai’s economic development and DP World has played a central role in supporting it. The activities of our flagships Jebel Ali Port and Jebel Ali Free Zone are very closely connected with companies located there to take advantage of the world class infrastructure facilities and investment incentives and to connect to global markets. The twin economic growth engines are examples to the world and serve as models DP World is rolling out in other locations across our network worldwide. As wealth generators, they are critical infrastructure assets that underpin prosperity and success for our nation,” said Al Muallem.

DP World, UAE Region contributes to over 33.4 per cent of Dubai’s GDP and believes this initiative will further enhance the ease of doing business at Jafza, and continue to position Dubai as one of the global centres for commerce and trade.

Coronavirus: Emirates reduces frequency on Italy routes, suspends flights to Venice

Dubai’s Emirates has suspended its daily flights to Venice and reduce frequency to Milan after all of Italy went under lockdown because of the Covid-19 outbreak.

“In light of the current situation in Italy, we have suspended our daily flight to Venice from March 12 to 31. We have also temporarily reduced the frequency of our daily flights to Milan from three to one,” an Emirates spokesperson said in a statement to Khaleej Times.

“This remaining daily flight will continue to operate as EK205/206 from Dubai to Milan, but will not operate onward to New York, as this sector has also been suspended from March 11 until April 3,” said the statement.

All of Italy was placed under lockdown as more than 9,000 people have become infected in the European country in little over two weeks, out of a global total of more than 113,000 in over 100 countries.

Nearly 4,000 people have died across the world, the vast majority in mainland China.

The Dubai-based carrier said its services to Rome will be reduced from two flights a day to one until April 30, while services to Bologna remain unchanged.

“We apologise for any inconvenience caused. Affected customers should contact their booking agent or Emirates office to make alternative arrangements. We continue to monitor the situation closely, and look forward to resuming normal operations when feasible,” said the spokesperson.

Earlier, British Airways, Jet2 and Ryanair stopped all Italy flights until April. Tunisia announced suspending all flights and shipping to Italy except to Rome.

Dubai female expat caught selling drugs to undercover cop

A Dubai expat, caught red-handed providing an undercover policeman with hashish, has been charged at the Court of First Instance.

The 27-year-old Egyptian woman is facing charges of facilitating the drug use to others and using amphetamine and crystal meth.

The defendant, currently a jobless, has been placed in detention.

The case dates back to July 18 last year and was registered at the Al Muraqqabat police station.

A lieutenant from the anti-narcotics general directorate of Dubai Police said they were tipped-off by a reliable source that the defendant used drugs and possessed a quantity for selling it to addicts.

“Through investigation, we verified the information to be true. After taking the necessary legal procedure, we assigned a policeman to get in contact with the accused.

“In front of me, the policeman requested a quantity of drugs from the defendant on WhatsApp. They agreed on a venue to meet in Al Muraqqabat. She sent her location at 1.30am. I, together with other anti-narcotics officers, accompanied the policeman and watched him from a distance.”

The policeman proceeded to meet the defendant in a civil car.

“Right after she handed over hashish to the undercover cop and collected the cash, we raided the car following a signal (earlier agreed on) by that cop. The defendant then admitted that she indeed handed over a quantity of hashish to the officer as she needed cash to pay for her rent,” the lieutenant told the public prosecution investigator.

According to the crime lab report, the quantity seized from the accused was hashish and weighed 3.67 grams.

Her urine sample tested positive for amphetamine and crystal meth.

Coronavirus in UAE: Dubai provides free 24/7 consultations

Dubai residents can now contact Dubai Health Authority (DHA) doctors via video and voice calls, for free 24/7 consultation and queries regarding Covid-19, the authorities has informed.

The DHA is providing this service through its “Doctor for Every Citizen” initiative, which was launched by the authority last December to fulfill the goals of Article 5 of the Fifty-Year Charter.

The initiative, which initially provided family medicine consultations for Emiratis, will now provide free consultation to all Dubai Residents for Covid-19.

The services will also help answer the queries of resident under self-quarantine from the comfort of their homes.

Dr Manal Taryam, CEO of the Primary Healthcare Sector at the DHA said that this will especially benefit residents on self-quarantine at home as they will be able to get any health-related queries they may have, answered without leaving the comfort of their homes.

She explained that passengers who return from ‘countries of concern’ have to undergo home isolation for 14 days to avoid spreading the virus. This is important as the incubation period of the virus is 14 days and they may be asymptomatic during this period.

While they are at home they should keep an eye on their health and are asked to not hesitate to contact the ‘Doctor for Every Citizen’ initiative if they develop a fever or any flu-like symptoms.

Dr Taryam said that the ‘Doctor for Every Citizen’ initiative will cover initial consultation and follow-ups were the physician uses a telehealth platform to communicate with the person while viewing his medical record.

The physician will also be able to request lab and radiology tests as well as issue electronic prescriptions.

Under the new service, the public will have 24/7 access to doctors, specialists and consultants who are DHA certified and trained on using tele-health.

“To access this service all they have to do is download the DHA mobile app and sign up. They then have to book an appointment for the ‘Doctor for every citizen’ service by calling the DHA toll-free number 800 342. Doctors and patients can opt for check-ups via video-call or voice-call.”
