Man from viral Facebook post gets job with UAE royal

“Do your part and Allah will surely listen to you.” This is how 29-year-old Ezzat M., Egyptian, summarised his job-search story to Khaleej Times.

He went from being jobless and homeless in Sharjah Corniche to a supervisor at the rest house of a royal family member.

He was first spotted by the American-Emirati author Dedra L Stevenson who wrote an emotional post about him on social media, and then his dilemma took a big jump.

“I almost lost hope, and did not know what to do,” he said.

“I cannot fail my kids and wife. I have come here to work, not to have fun. I cannot just return home penniless.”

Ezzat, also known as Abu Ahmed, used to work as a butcher in a small village near Al Mahal Al Kubra; a big city in the Gharbia Province.

“I could not understand what this “kind saviour”, as he prefers to call Dedra, was saying. “All I knew was that she was trying to help.”

Stevenson offered Ezzat some money, but he gently refused and thanked her. “This is not what I have come here to do. I did not leave my beloved family and country to beg; I’ve come to work and earn my money with dignity.”

To Ezzat’s surprise his plight was heard by a royal family member in the emirate of Umm Al Quwain.

“I was thankfully offered a job as a foreman here at one of the rest houses of a UAQ royal.”

“I have not met him yet, but I am so happy and satisfied and cannot find enough words to thank everyone who offered help, particularly the royal family here.”

Ezzat promised to be as honest, reliable, hard-working, and diligent as he always used to be. “My role is to supervise two Indian workers because I can speak Arabic fluently and will help communication here. The three of us are here to serve the guests of the Crown Prince.”

Ezzat now has a private room, new clothes, food and a safe job. “Praise be to Allah, I feel secured, and there is nothing to worry about anymore,” he said, thanking Dedra L. Stevenson for writing about him.

“I did not expect, think, or even want her or anyone to write about me. But this is what might happen when a miraculous hand reaches out. My mobile did not stop ringing all day from people offering their help.”

It’s Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed’s birthday today

UAE royals, citizens and residents alike have taken to social media to wish His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, on his 59th birthday.

Sheikh Mohamed is the son of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Father of the Nation and the first President of the UAE, and the brother of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. Sheikh Mohamed is married to Her Highness Sheikha Salama bint Hamdan Al Nahyan, and has four sons and five daughters.

Sheikh Mohamed is known for his laughter and down-to-earth demeanor, famously offering to give a lift home to a young girl who was crying on the pavement waiting for her father. When the girl refused, saying she had been instructed not to get into strangers’ cars, the Sheikh insisted on waiting with her until her parent came to pick her up. The story went viral on social media, after a picture was taken of the ruler sitting on the ground with the child.

Toddler dies after choking on chips in UAE

A 14-month-old Emirati baby girl choked to death on Tuesday evening in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah after a piece of chips she was eating got stuck in her throat.

The young victim, based in Wadi Shaam, could not breathe because the piece of chips blocked her trachea, according to sources.

“Though her parents tried hard to save her life and rushed her to the nearest hospital, she was in a critical condition when admitted.”

“The parents turned their baby girl upside down and slapped her back several times, but to no avail.”

The emergency duty doctors exerted their utmost effort and tried several times to resuscitate her, but unfortunately, she was shortly declared dead, they added.

“The young girl’s brain was deprived of oxygen for a long time due to the blocked airway, and her face turned blue due to lack of oxygen.”

The baby girl was moved to the morgue of the hospital and was later buried at the Al Waaeb cemetery.

The emirate of Fujairah, back in 2018, saw a similar case where a two-year-old Emirati baby boy choked after a piece of grape was stuck in his throat.

Dr. Engy Ziada, a specialist pediatrician, urged all parents to take first aid training courses to better deal with such emergencies.

“The life of any person will be dangerously affected if his or her brain is deprived of air for more than four minutes.”

She also advised parents to keep the hard materials away from their toddlers. “Parents should also cut fruit into small pieces when given to their children, and always observe them while eating.”

“If the baby turns blue, parents are advised to start CPR, and call the emergency services for help.”

Dr Dhiraj Sidagonda, a specialist pediatrician, told Khaleej Times that a child’s windpipe has almost the same diameter as a drinking straw.

“Parents need to be careful while feeding their children, and choose the right food, and keep items and toys out of reach.”

According to Injury Facts 2017, choking is the fourth leading cause of ‘unintentional injury’ death.

There are 100,000 unintentional childhood injuries, including choking, according to the Children Health and Environment Report by the World Health Organisation. The Middle East and the region have a whopping 40 per cent unintentional or related to choking incidents in children, whereas Europe, has 7.9-25.4 per cent, a year.

Global child injury deaths by choking, smothering, asphyxiation and animal bites for children aged 0-17 is 31.1 per cent. Moreover, 16.8 per cent of global child injury deaths are caused by drowning. Children under five years of age have the highest drowning mortality rates worldwide, with New Zealand and Canada as an exception.

First and foremost, I am a mother of two amazing girls and wife to a loving man with a very busy schedule. When I’m not attending to their needs, I try to devote my spare time to my other passions: fashion, music, design, travelling, cooking and fine dining – in short, alI of the other simple (and not so simple) pleasures in life! I understand what it means to be a mom and the need to find an escape (once in while) from the world of lululemon, carpools and lunches on the go to the world of high fashion, exotic travel and fine dinning. That said, the objective of my blog’s is to appeal to and be representative of the life of a young modern women with a family with (admittedly) a penchant for the finer things in life – so expect a bit of both! I hope this blog will serve you as a useful tool to find your pleasure in whatever world you happen to be in. In addition to my latest discoveries, I’ve enlisted the help of my friends in different parts of the world to contribute to my blog – thanks guys!

I sincerely hope you enjoy reading my blog as much as I had sharing its contents with you!

It’s crazy to think that less than 5 years ago I was just starting to toy with the idea of blogging. I wanted a platform where be inspired and share all the things I love. From fashion and food to friends and family, I wanted to write about my life, capture all the moments of my life and just put it all out there – no holding back.

Well, it’s been a wild ride so far and my interest in blogging has transformed my life and has become my full-time job! From the Mademoiselle Jules blog and Insta, I’ve had the opportunity to partake in so many amazing endeavours with artists, designers, brands, and influencers; I’ve collaborated on amazing campaigns, I’ve attended incredible events and Paris Fashion Week and NYC Fashion Week. I mean, my life still feels like it’s kind of the exact same, my values and priorities are still my children and family, my friends and people I love, but my day-to-day job I am privileged to say, is something I wake up and look forward to working at. I’m constantly inspired and also exhausted, lol! But, the truth is, I’m mostly just grateful.

“In fall, it’s fun to play with makeup and accessory colours like orange, burgundy and merlot. I personally tend to go with neutral tones for the rest of the year, but in fall, I go for darker makeup, especially a dark lip.”

When I started weight training 17 years ago i was inspired by the bodybuilder figure of Frank Zane & Arnold Shwarzengger , I was always into sports at school back in High School, soccer & Water polo , but I was the skinny kid! I just wanted to gain a little weight and size to help with my performance in general, so i pushed myself to lift at the gym !
My mentality is very much to stay dedicated to a goal , if I want something, I will see it through to the end & what
Kept saying to myself that No one will outwork me !! I worked out twice a day, ate 6-7 meals in order to beat my average genetics!

After 3 years of training I noticed that my biceps had so much similarities to Arnold’s & that began to give me motivation & hope that one day i can have that perfect physique ! gym soon became my passion, and along with my gym buddies we decided to enter a local bodybuilding competition; just for fun to keep us motivated, to train harder, and diet more. Long story short, I won 5 national consecutive titles ! And it felt so good !!. Competing quickly became my motivation to keep training, keep getting better, so my goal was to stand on stage every year.

In 2009/2010 having a bulky physique was the trend and at that time I decided to take my body to a whole new level of shredding, so I started educating myself, using trials & errors in dieting & trying new ways of training & i landed on a 3.5% body fat physique after 4 months of extreme focus & dedication! I made the 1st photo session ever in Sep 2010 that defines the word (FITNESS MODEL) that we see nowadays! It was one of my greatest achievements to date, i tried to compete in musclemania 2010/2011 & 2012 but I wasn’t that lucky as rejections kept coming due to the hard times that the country went through (revolution) !!
After that period I took the decision to stop competing and started doing some fashion shows & modeling and started my professional career at Nestlè.

Now I always make sure to share my experience & healthy lifestyle with my followers and positively influence them to keep fit and healthy.
I want to keep inspiring and motivate people of all ages, to share the importance of the consistency needed in both training, nutrition & achieving their goals in general.

Bollaro, in a shaky voice: “This victory is dedicated to my city, in Livorno, to the Mayor and the councilor for sport, in my heart I knew that I had a good condition to enter a top 10, but never and then I would never have thought to win! Miki Rutile is nicknamed the Champion Manager, now I understand why and why she decided to believe in me, it is above all thanks to her if I am here “. Team Commando also announces the creation of a great documentary on the Bollaro company: “At our side we have excellence in the world of cinema, the director Matteo Salpini who filmed all the experience and will make a great documentary that will most likely come released by one of the most important streaming platforms, in the meantime we will live part of the company on the YouTube channel that made us popular with 50,000,000 views, Team Commando, with a docu-video. Bollaro wants to reaffirm himself on 1 December in Portugal with the last title of the year, the continental one, is a historic feat.

Two Italian titles for the strongman Gianmarco Bollaro Castellina. No, this is not a sport for everyone. Translated from English, strongman means strong man. Translated from English, strongman means strong man. Two words that contain evidence of courage and life philosophies, which Gianmarco Bollaro married by winning the title of Italian champion in the 90 kilos category twice in a row. In recent days, in Vicopisano, he raised the cup to the sky, proving to be the most prepared of all. From Badie, the hamlet of the municipality of Castellina where he lives, he chose the cult of strength to establish himself, participating in the competitions where he won against tough opponents. Bollaro explains that this year’s championship consisted of six stages scattered around Italy. Two successes were enough for him, in Milan and Pontedera, to qualify for the final, where the top ten finishers enter. Being strongman means dealing with five of the 15 tremendous tests required by the regulation. For example: a walk “wearing” the bodywork of an old Fiat 500, dragging a pickup truck, lifting weights with your head, hopping in the company of a barbell, moving heavy stones. Not really a simple exercise. “I would like to go up in category – he says – and compete under 105 kilograms. I am 1 meter and 86 meters tall and out of the race weighing about a quintal, it would be the best way to distribute the effort. I met this discipline when I was 18 years old surfing the internet, because I have always been passionate about it. I train at the B-Well gym directed by Massimo Trotta, in Palazzi, with dumbbells and other tools. From January I will start my own course, since I am an instructor and I can teach ». Last year, when he got his first title, he qualified for the European Championships in Birmingham and then flew to the USA for the World Cup. In the morning he works at the market and in the afternoon he trains. “I recommend this activity because it releases the nerves and relaxes the mind,” he closes.
