The 21st edition of the Conference and Exhibition of International Help and Development of Dubai, Dihad, concluded today under the sponsorship of its highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum, vice president, prime minister and ruler of Dubai.
This year’s edition recorded 137 nominations from 42 countries, reflecting the scale and global diversity of humanitarian efforts. The awards covered 12 categories, highlighting multiple service and impact fields.
Among the distinguished recipients of the Humanthropy 2025 Wasahmed Darwish to Muhairi, general director of the Department of Islamic Affairs and Charity Activities (IACAD), Dubai, who was honored by Witherd. The Islamic Bank (ADIB) of the ABU Dhabi (ADIB) received the Humanthropy corporate social responsibility prize, while Fatma Essa Almheiri, interim director of adoption and development of technology at the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, was the humanitarian name. The Visionary Humanthropy award was awarded to Dr. Sonia Ben Jaafar, Executive Director of the Abdulla Al Ghurair Foundation, Eau, for future contributions to humanitarian development.
Amid the growing global humanitarian challenges, the EAU industrial sector is increasingly emerging as a strategic pillar to boost sustainable development and support humanitarian and help operations. Through the 300 billion operation, the EAU are aimed at raising the contribution of the industrial sector to GDP of 133 billion AED to 300 billion AED by 2031.
