The construction has begun at the Grand Hyatt Miami Beach 800 -room hotel, the first property to connect directly to the Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC) through a climate controlled Skybridge.
Scheduled to open at the end of 2027, the hotel will include 90,000 square feet or space in the interior meeting on four dedicated floors, 10000 square feet of space for outdoor events, five restaurants, a Grand Hyatt Club room and a commercial space.

The first property of Grand Hyatt of the city is an important milestone for the city’s conventional infrastructure. While the 790 Room Loews Miami Beach has served as the main conventions hotel, is four blocks from the center and lacks direct access. The proximity to comfort is a priority for planners who want hotels, the convention center and restaurants a few steps away.
Groups like aesthetic society are already responding. The organization, which has celebrated events in the MBCC in the past, will return in 2027.
“Being able to house the attendees just a few steps from the meeting of the meeting is a total change of the game of how we planned in this destination,” said Kathleen McClemmy, senior director of education and meetings for the aesthetic society.
OVG Partnership extended for the management of the Convention Center
The city of Miami Beach has also extended its association with Oak View Group to the continuous administration of the Miami Beach Convention Center for another five years.
OVG has Overan operations in the MBCC for 12 years, originally under the Spectra brand before its brand change in 2022. OVG played a fundamental role in the renewal and expansion of $ 640 million of the place.
Today, the revitalized MBC includes 500,000 square feet of exhibition space, a 60,000 square feet dance hall, four junior dance halls and 84 break -up rooms.
Beyond the building, the MBCC campus includes the six acres of Pride Park and three acres in Collins Channel Park, both or that are available for outdoor events.
