Reasons that this happens to women:How can the body image minimize probles turning pregnancy?I will leave you with these thoughts and conversations that I have had with people in pregnancy:Stay connected with news and updates!

I am writing this while I have 6 months pregnant (almost 7 hahaha, I always try to count forward because I am excited that little Booboo arrives). The objective of this blog post is to help women feel less alone, more viewed and share my experience so far. Your body image can be something that you fight with duration this time, and I want you to know that it is fine.

The joy and gratitude that come with pregnancy are immense and is such a beautiful miraculous moment. I am grateful for it every day, especially when those little kicks enter, but that does not mean that there are difficult days. And for those difficult days, it is good to have a friend to speak and feel heard.

To begin, let’s define body image, repress your vision, mental image and perception of your own body (such as size, shape, appearance) and attitude (such as emotional beliefs, feelings and thoughts. It could be an honest reflection, but sometimes we see/perceive Ourves in a slightly different way than what is honest at the time.

Pregnancy is so vital in a woman’s life, since her body goes through an important transformation. Investigation He has shown that the duration of pregnancy and postpartum, women tend to be unhappy with their bodies, regardless of how they felt about their body before pregnancy.

What is important to remember is that we are all different and the way in which our bodies grow, change and shape themselves and after pregnancy it is so exclusive to each individual. Some women go through all their pregnancy without enjoying how things are and that’s fine.

Part of what hinders this is that we are or in excess of images or expectant mothers with perfect baby blows and weight only won in their belly compared to any other place in your body. And this is simply not the reality for most women and trying to fit in that box is toxic in my opinion.

This happens for many reasons and there are physical changes that bite the duration, this makes this, so, such as: the largest breasts (mine were as triple their size in week 4 hahaha) and brands of acte, acne and bright fun of Khat?) Possible for some women. This transformation occurs for 10 months (no 9 hahaha because you are real pregnant for 40 weeks), the mental stress and external pressure of staying in shape make women feel, they are not great.

Reasons that this happens to women:

  1. Duration of natural weight gain pregnancy is overwhelmed by the comfort in which we were. It is accustomed to a certain shape and weight of the body in which it has been hard for a hard time and going through an important change of increase of 11-16 kg for the normal BMI is a great change in a relatively short period of time. In general, a weight gain or 11-16 kg occurs at least 3-4 years that IFY is trying to gain weight.
  2. Changes in pregnancy change their usual environment: tiredness, lack of physical state, feelings of being “less capable of doing things” because or discomfort, pain, pain, nomiting, especially to pass that first quarter. This was difficult for me to deal with the first quarter because I expected morning nausea would last all day. So, I had to change my training schedule of the usual 5-6 times a week 3 times a week until I felt better in my second quarter.
  3. The fashion industry can make this difficult. Maternity jeans are simply not ready hahaha, this is a total personal opinion, but as I think they don’t work so easily for me. It is also difficult to find the right size as a pregnant woman and you do not have many options in real stores. I have to buy online and return a lot of items that do not work, I can’t find this process so convenient hahaha. So, most of the time, I end up wearing loose clothes and without a way that does not always help you feel your best.
  4. Social networks can be trigger
    • Internet is full of photos of pregnant celebrities that are edited to look like a certain realistic way
    • Pregnant women end up waiting to resemble them and create a mental image of a ‘perfect’ pregnant body, which is not possible since the change in our body is out of our control (to some extent).
    • This can lead to a negative body image and self -polompision so that others fit in that box and seem attractive to others.

How can the body image minimize probles turning pregnancy?

  1. Understand the physiological changes that your body passes through the pregnancy of duration. This image has helped me below to understand where and how the weight is going.

  2. Talk to the people you trust and share your thoughts and feelings. You would be surprised how common this is among mothers.

  3. Be aware of your thoughts: are these goals or are they pressing?

  4. Participate in regular exercise (if there is no medical restriction). Do your best you can attend this time. Exercise can help you with its duration of mental and physical health this time and helps release endorphins that can improve your well -being.

  5. Eat healthy. Good quality foods such as whole grains, green leafy vegetables, healthy fats and lean proteins will nourish both you and your growing baby. Having fried potatoes, chocolate and other less nutritious foods is fine in scattered amounts during pregnancy, provided that its main approach is nutritious feeding.

  6. Do something that relaxes you and makes you feel good as a prenatal massage.

  7. Talk to a therapist if necessary.

  8. And remember that you are not alone.

I will leave you with these thoughts and conversations that I have had with people in pregnancy:

  1. Every time we look back, it is not as bad as we believe it was, to embrace this time and try to be as present as possible.
  2. Dress your bump even if you don’t feel it at that time, when you look back, you will love to see it.
  3. Know that this is normal, discomfort is common. It is good that you know that this is happening so you can comfort yourself this time and know what will happen.
  4. Use things that make you comfortable: I am in leggings 90% of the time
  5. A advice that I am giving myself to the 6 months of pregnancy is to buy clothes that help to hug this new phase insect of feeling stuck with what I currently have in my wardrobe.
