Deep cleaning of your whole house in a weekend? That is a unidirectional ticket for exhaustion (and let’s be honest, lost places). Instead, divide the process into manageable pieces focusing on one room at the same time. You will get better results and save your energy, why it gives each space your attention.
Plan to go from 2 to 3 hours per room, depending on how live (read: messy) is. Extend the work for a couple of weeks, mixing lighter tasks with the heaviest to maintain your impulse.
Start by disapprove. You cannot clean deeply around lots of things, and cleaning things first makes each surface easier to address. Order the articles to “keep”, “donate” or “recycle” to avoid the fatigue of the decision later. Once its space is simplified, that is its green light to start scrubbing, dusting and refreshing everything from the roof fans to the floor tables.
