Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, president of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), said that the tourism sector of the department aims to contribute to AED62BN ($ 16.9bn) to the economy to 2025, with the economy.

The objective is that the sector contribute to AED90BN ($ 24.5bn) to the non -oil GDP of the Emirate by 2030.

Abu Dhabi Tourism Boost

Speaking a round table that marks the opening of Teamlab Phenomena Abu Dhabi, Al Mubarak said that in the first quarter of 2025, international hosts of the hotel during the night in Abu Dhabi grew 4 percent in the year compared to the first quarter of 2024, Russ.

He added that the hotel occupancy in the first quarter of 2025 reached 79 percent through the Emirate and 82 percent in the city of Abu Dhabi.

The Mubarak highlighted the role of the cultural museums of Abu Dhabi, including the recently inaugurated Lablab phenomena, together with the Louvre Abu Dhabi, the Zayed National Museum and the natural history Abu Dhabi, to strengthen the Emirate tour.

Located in the Saadiyat Cultural District, these museums are cultural and knowledge beacons that reflect the coexistence values ​​of the EAU and their cultural identity.

He pointed out that the continuous investment in the cultural sector is guided by the vision of the founding father, the deceased Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, underlining the appearance of the EAU as a global cultural center.

He stressed the meaning of the Saadiyat cultural district as a cultural and historical treasure, with museums that serve as vital centers for future generations.

Al Mubarak pointed out that the Teamlab Abu Dhabi team phenomenon embodies the cultural diversity of the EAU, fostering the position of Abu Dhabi as an outstanding world destination of arts and culture.

He announced the next opening of three more museums in the Saadiyat Cultural District this year.
