Smart Mobility International (SMI), a leading distributor of new energy vehicles in the EAU, signed a strategic association with IM Motors, the manufacturer of Chinese electric vehicles backed by SAIC Motor (the largest OEM in China), Alibaba Group and Zhangjiang Hi-Tech.
The agreement marks the entry of IM Motors into the GCC market, starting with the EAU and plans to expand to Saudi Arabia at the end of this year.
The signature event, which took place in the opening room of the IM Motors EAU on the Sheikh Zayed road, Dubai, also saw the inauguration of IM7, a fully electric luxury SUV.
The LS7 presents an intelligent panoramic cabin with the integration of AI, advanced security and connectivity characteristics.
Moutaz Louis, CEO of Smart Mobility International, said the company is not only launching a new brand: “We are shaping a future defined by intelligent mobility, premium performance and a deep commitment to sustainability.”
The IM LS7 will be AVIA UP first in its Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) version, with an extended range of range to follow.
Additional models, including the SUV IM L7 and the SUV IM LS6, will be launched at the end of this year in Bev and Range Extended (REEV) Variants, expanding the portfolio of premium electric vehicles available for consumers in the region.
