DEWA saw 4.5% surge in electricity connection requests for Dubai commercial projects in 2024

The increase highlights the commitment of the authority to maintain the rhythm of the growing demand for electricity and water services driven by the urban expansion of Dubai as its population and economy continue to grow, he said.

Dewa received 8,241 resources for electrical connections in 2024. The number of its accredited consultants and contractors was 2,123 before December 31, 2024, according to Saeed Mohammed al Tayer, MD and CEO or Dewa.

He said: “We are witnessing a growing participation of consultants and contractors interested in Dewa’s smart services, reflecting the success of our efforts to improve Dubai’s competitiveness to facilitate companies.”

Al Tayer said that authority provides facilities for industrial, commercial and residential projects to accelerate business and improve performance, as well as solidify Dubai’s position as an important center for investments around the world.

To Tayer added: “In line with the economic agenda of Dubai (D33), we are developing our solid and pioneering infrastructure.

“We trust innovation and avant -garde technologies and solutions to provide all the necessary digital capacities and services that help consultants and contractors to carry out their businesses and carry out their transactions easily.”

Rashid Bin Humaidan, Executive Vice President of Distribution Energy in the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, said that consultants and contractors can also benefit from the Saqoor Program of Dewa, the Smart Smart Smart function of Dewa and actress Ownek Edonds Initive Initive Initive Manual.
