DP World commences construction of Bharat Mart strategic trading hub in Dubai – Business – Economy and Finance

DP World begins the construction of the Strategic Commerce Center of Bharat Mart in Dubai, which offers new horizons for Indian companies

DP World has begun the construction of Bharat Mart, a global company to company (B2B) and consumer company (B2C) in Dubai that is designed to facilitate trade between Indian companies and global markets.

The company presented the virtual model of the project in the presence of its highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid al Maktoum, heir prince of Dubai, VicePrimer Minister, Minister of Defense and President of the Executive Council of Dubai; His excellence Piyush Goyal, Minister of Commerce and Industry of India; Together with their excellence, Sultan Bin Sulayem, President of the Group and CEO, DP World.

Bharat Mart will open at the end of 2026. With the construction in progress, DP World is racing the way for a transforming market that will redefine the global trade that remains between India, the Middle East and beyond.

His highness Sheikh Hamdan said: “Dubai’s world -class infrastructure and class connectivity make it a vital partner as India expands its global trade. With an increase in non -oil bilateral trade and around 2,300 Indian companies that prosper prosperous thriving providing Indian goods faster access to global markets.”

His excellence Piyush Goyal said: “Bharat Mart is a transforming project launched by DP World with immense potential and we expect its heights greatly.

Ambitious objectives
His excellence Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem added: “India and the EAU aim to reach $ 100 billion in non -oil trade by 2030, and Bharat Mart will be a key driver to achieve this M that more.

Voltage 2.7 million square feet, with its initial phase that covers 1.3 million square feet, Bharat Mart will serve as a key negotiation concentrator for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME). Location strategically in Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), the installation will have 1,500 exhibition rooms and more than 700000 square feet of state -of -the -art storage, light industrial units, office spaces and meetings facilities.

Critical advantage
Only 11 km from the port of Jebel Ali, 15 km from the Al Maktoum International Airport and with a convenient access to the Etihad rail, Bharat Mart promises to offer Indian companies access without problems to a multimodal logistics network. Through the Jebel Ali ecosystem, exporters will connect to 150 maritime destinations, in addition to air connectivity, linking facilities with more than 300 cities worldwide, improving the market scope and efficiency.

Jafza continues to play a key role in the bilateral trade in India-UAE, which houses more than 2,300 Indian colleagues, 15% more interannual, after the establishment of 283 new Indian companies in 2024, reinforcing the Hubai Rone as a global critic.
