The Human Resources Department of the Government of Dubai (DGHR) has issued a circular announcing Eid to Fitr.
It establishes that the work in all entities, departments and institutions affiliated with the Dubai government will be suspended from Shawwal 1, 1446 ah until the 3rd Shawwal 3, 1446 AH.
The official work will resume from Shawwal 4 1446 AH said the DGHR.

The circular also declared that if the month of Ramadan is completed within 30 days, then on the 30th day of Ramadan will also be added to Eid to Fit holidays.
Means that:
- If the new Crescent moon was seen on Ramadan 29, the holidays begin the first day of Shawal and run to Shawwal 3. These vacations corresponded to Sunday, March 30 until Tuesday, April 1. Taking into account the typical weekend in the EAU, it would mean a four -day holiday.
- If the moon is not sighted, the Ramadan will be a longer day and will total 30 days. In these circumstances, Ramadan 30 will also be a holiday, as well as Shawwal’s first three days. This would correspond to Monday, March 31 until Wednesday, April 2, be a holiday for the public and private sector
The staff members of several entities, departments and institutions that work in Shift Basic or those involved in the management of public facilities or in providing public services are not included in the circular.
To guarantee the operation without problems of the duration of the facilities on this vacation, these entities are responsible for deciding work hours for exempt categories in line with their operational needs.
