The 2025 Government best practices, organized by the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Dubai, began today in Dubai. The event brings together the leadership of Dubai government entities along with the specialization of local and international experts in government administration, institutional excellence and future forecast.
The meetings aim to highlight the key pillars of government work, including innovation, digital transformation, institutional learning, services design and future preparation. The event has been designed for participants to share success stories recognized by the Dubai Government Excellence program and the Hamdan Bin Mohammed program for government services, reaffirming Dubai’s commitment to improve the effectiveness, agility and the dead future.

The first day of the Government best practices series 2025 presented a series of sessions that heard success stories of the main government entities. The sessions addressed the impact of digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) on delivery, the role of innovation in increased performance, as well as best practices in knowledge transfer and capacities development.
There were presentations of the Dubai Police, winner of the Hamdan 2024 flag; The road and transport authority (RTA) in requests for AI; Dubai police on future preparation initiatives; Dubai civil defense on innovation and institutional learning; and the public prosecution of Dubai on excellence in human capital.
The discussion of the main panel, directed by the initiative of the creators of the city of the General Secretariat of the Executive Council of Dubai, focused on the design of joint government services. The discussion also recognized outstanding initiatives directed under the Executive Comparative Evaluation Program.
The sixth cycle of the Executive Comparative Evaluation Program highlighted nine innovative government initiatives that reflect Dubai’s commitment to collaborative excellence. The prominent projects included ‘Advance Ruling’ by Dubai Customs; ‘Dubai’s emissions guide factors of the road transport sector’ by the Dubai Environment and Climate Change Authority; And the establishment of the Dubai International Mediation Center for the Department of Legal Affairs of the Government of the Government of Dubai.
The recognized initiatives also included: ‘Next Generation Airspace’ of Dans; ‘High electricity consumption’ alerts’; ‘Digital City Tribe Ecosystem’ by Digital Dubai, ‘Dubai Can – forward for life’ of the Department of Economy and Tourism; ‘ALFA – The future financial advisor’ by the Department of Finance; And maintaining the security of Dubai’s buildings for Dubai’s civil defense.
The series will continue on Wednesday with a series of sessions and workshops that show the global best practices in innovation of services, customer experience and intelligent integration of the government. The second day will open with a presentation that highlights the key achievements in the Government of Dubai, followed by discussion panels on institutional resilience and risk management, in addition to a session entitled how we got on the elite, organized by the municipality and the airports of Dubai.
Other sessions will highlight the Dubai Sandbox initiative led by Dubai Future Foundation; The efforts of the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority to design services for determination people; Leadership in Emiratization of the Dubai Police; Advances in digital empowerment by Dubai Air Navigation Services; and a session on pioneer practices in artificial intelligence organized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority. The meetings will conclude with a discussion panel entitled Partners in Leadray: collaborating for government excellence, organized by the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority and the General Directorate of Identity and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai.
