Dubai Media Academy, the training arm of Dubai Media Incorporated, has launched its new roadshow on generative tools of AI, as part of a strategic association with the Google News initiative. The initiative marks an important step in the improvement of media professionals based in the EAU with the necessary tools to prosper in a fast -evolving digital media environment.
Training is part of a broader program designed to improve the application of AI in journalism by offering practical knowledge promoted by technology. The Association reinforces the shared ambition of both organizations to promote media innovation and future preparation throughout the region.
The workshop is also aligned with the support of Dubai Media for the “Annual Dubai Plan to accelerate the adoption of AI”, which aims to integrate artificial intelligence in all sectors. The vision is that Dubai becomes the city most driven by AI economically, the most advanced in the deployment of AI and the fastest in the adoption of next -generation technologies.
Held at the headquarters of the Academy, the suspicion of employees of the Dubai media, together with media professionals and representatives of the media communication departments and government communication. The session was held by Marwa Khost, Communications and Public Affairs Manager at Google Mena and Pamela Kesrouni, teaching Fellow on Google News Initiative, Mena. The three -hour session covered key technical areas, such as an introduction to generative AI, rapid engineering and advanced use of tools such as Gemini and Notebooklm. The demonstrated applications included summary of documents, multi -sources content analysis and multimedia generation that admits a smarter, faster and more creative media production.

The launch of this workshop series reflects a strategic alliance with one of the world’s main technology companies and is designed to prepare a new generation of journalists ready to lead in the panorama of the digital media,” Muna Bu Samra, director of Dubai Media Academy said.

The workshops are under the widest initiative of ‘AI in the Arab media’, launched by the Academy in the week of Dubai Ai in April. The initiative is dedicated to building an integral ecosystem of the tools adapted to the Arab media, while promoting the Arab language in its many dialects and respects the cultural and social context of the region.
In the coming weeks, Dubai Media Academy and Google will continue to organize new training sessions, each exploring different cases of use for AI in journalism, content development and editorial practices, reaching a broader community of reporters, editors and professionals of the digital media.
