The 1.210M bridge has three lanes and has a capacity of 4,800 vehicles per hour.
The opening is part of the Phase 4 or Shindagha corridor improvement project, which covers 4.8 km along Sheikh Rashid Road, from its intersection with Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street to Falcon Intection in the Mina street.

In December, RTA opened a 1,335 m bridge with three lanes and a capacity of 4,800 vehicles per hour. Earlier this year, RTA opened a 605 m bridge with two lanes and a capacity of 3,200 vehicles per hour. This bridge improves the movement of traffic from the intersection of Ala Street with Sheikh Rashid Road towards the intersection of Sheikh Rashid Road with Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Street.
The Shindagha corridor improvement project is one of the largest installation projects in RTA, with a remarkable progress already achieved.
13 km tension, the corridor extends along Sheikh Rashid Road, to the Mina Street, Al Khaleeej Street and Cairo Street, which implies the development of 15 intersections.
Due to its scale and complexity, the project was divided into five phases.
The corridor improves the connectivity between Deira and Bur Dubai, while supporting the important developments, including the Dubai Islands, the coast of Deira, the maritime city of Dubai and Port Rashid.
Once completed, it will benefit approximately one million residents, ensuring a softer traffic flow, increasing the capacity and efficiency of the road, and the significant reduction of travel time from 104 minutes to only 16 minutes by 2030.
Besighes, the project is designed to improve road safety standards while delivering an estimated AED45 billion ($ 12.25 billion) in economic benefits around the next 20 years.
