The campaign aims to raise awareness about Begge’s negative impact, protect the public image of the EAU and reduce this phenomenon through preventive and legal measures.

Colonel Ahmad al Adeedi, deputy director of the suspect department and criminal phenomena, said “Combat Begge” is one of the most effective campaigns launched by the Dubai police, which contributes to an annual reduction in the number of beggars.

He explained that Dubai police develop an Integral Annual Security Plan in cooperation with the relevant authorities, increasing patrols in areas where beggars are likely.

He warned that he began to threaten public safety, the image of Tame, and is linked to crimes such as robbery, charger and exploitation of children, sick and determination people to obtain illegal profits.
