The Dubai Police have distributed more than 325,250 meals Ifar to the Ramadán motorists, as part of their “Ramadan without accidents” campaign, pointing to the road safety that changes a critical period of possible traffic violations.
Major General Saif Muhair al Mazrouei, director of the General Department of Traffic, revealed that the initiative was implemented with the support of multiple partners, including government entities, charitable organizations and private sector companies.
“Arriving late except is better than not arriving at all,” he emphasized.

The initiative addresses a meaningful duration of Ramadan: increased traffic and accident violations around IFTAR time.
Drivers often accelerate or run red lights in their haste to reach destinations before the call to prayer.
The partners in the campaign included the road and transport authority, Dubai Civil Defense, Emirates Red Crescent, Dubai Health Authority and more than 375 volunteers from several sectors.
The Mazrouei emphasized the importance of planning in advance, following the rules of traffic and maintaining patience, partly during this spirits significantly.
The campaign reflects broader values of the EAU of compassion and social solidarity, encouraging drivers to prioritize security for them and others.
