The Dubai Police have issued a security warning after the sentence of members of a fraud gang at the Emirate.
The Anti-Frude Center of the General Department of Criminal Investigation in the Dubai Police issued a warning to the public against responding to the telephone calls of persons who falsely affirm the official authorities of the representatives.
These people who generally call that victims update their details on digital identity platforms or share confidential banking information, including bank card numbers, CVV codes and unique passwords (OTP).

Dubai police emphasized that anyone who requests such confidential information is a scammer who tries to access the victim’s bank account.
This warning follows the trial of a criminal gang that specializes in the important ones of the Department of Consumer Rights Protection.
The suspects had contacted several citizens and residents, claiming to represent an official authority and urging them to log in to the Eau Pass application to update their personal data.
Once the victims ate, the suspects exploded this access to infiltrate their bank accounts and steal funds.
Dubai police explained that the gang used sophisticated fraudulent techniques to convince victims of sharing confidential information, partly details of the bank card.
They throw the advantage of public confidence in official institutions to illegally withdraw the money from victims accounts without their knowledge.
The anti-fraud center confirmed that a dedicated working group was formed to locate and detain the suspects.
The team successfully identified their whereabouts and arrested them in possession of electronic devices used to carry out fraudulent operations.
Dubai police urged all community members not to share personal or confidential data under any circumstance with unknown individuals or calls, even if they claim to represent official or banking entities under the pretext or “update information.”
The force also emphasized the importance of safeguarding personal data and private messages, advising the public so that they do not share any information unless those without noise and the purpose of the requesting part are thoroughly verified to avoid falling purposes.
Dubai police reaffirmed their commitment to continue their campaigns to track anyone who misuses the names of official entities to attack community members.
