The Dubai Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has received an intellectual property certificate for its first industrial design: the electric opening with solar energy.
The Ministry of Economy, the Official Authority of the EAU to issue certificates of intellectual property, granted certification to the Department of Marine Transport of RTA in the public transport agency.
According to the RTA officials, the certificate has multiple strategic objectives, including the protection of the exclusive rights of the authority, reinforcing its pioneering status, allowing license opportunities and franchise and safeguarding valuable assets.

Achievement marks a milestone that strengthens the efforts of the RTA to establish a leadership position in sustainability both local and globally, while supporting its vision of providing perfect and sustainable mobility.
The representatives of the RTA declared that the authority remains “committed to the progress of creativity and innovation by sending a work environment that encourages employees of several agencies to continue developing the best ideas and proposals,” according to a statement by Emirates news agency (WAM).
These initiatives aim to improve the trip of excellence, creativity and innovation of RTA in the provision of services to all segments of society, maintaining its position local, regional and globally.
