Hamdan bin Mohammed highlights UAE’s focus on technology as a development enabler during visit to Google’s Dubai offices – Technology

His highness reaffirms the determination of Dubai to emerge as a higher global innovation center through strategic associations with the main technological classmates

His highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Heir Prince of Dubai, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, emphasized that the EAU agree to be important for technological transformation as part of a strategic fame face. The EAU continue to strengthen their technological abilities through exemplary associations with the main global technology developers, promotion collaborations actively to boost new trends, being artificial intelligence an excellent example.

The statement occurred during the visit of Sheikh Hamdan to Google offices in Dubai Innovation Hub. Upon arrival at the company’s headquarters, Ruth Porrat, President and Investment Director of Alphabet and Google; Anthony Nakache, Google managing director in the Middle East and North Africa; and several executives of the company, who expressed their appreciation for the EAU as an inspiring model to take advantage of advanced technologies and AI solutions.

Strong synergy

The visit reflects the strong synergy between the EAU and the global technology company, partly in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies. The association dates back to 2008, when Google opened its offices in Dubai, the largest in the Middle East and Africa of the North, highlighting a collaboration that supports the vision of the leaders for the EUA digital transformation trip.

His highness was appropriate about Google’s efforts in the field of artificial intelligence, including the company’s contributions through tools such as Gemini’s personal assistant and the application of the research and writing notebook, both promoted by AI. The visit of his highness was also marked by a previous view of the Google economic impact report for 2024, which highlighted the economic split of Google products such as Search, YouTube, Maps, Cloud and ADS.

The report explores the general impact of Google’s products and services and the value that the company offers to the users, companies and communities of the EAU. This marks the first time Google publishes such a report for the country.

His highness was also informed at the Google Accessibility Discovery Center in Dubai, which opened in September 2024. This installation is one of the only seven worldwide and is the first and his son in the region of Middle and North Africa.

Google executives reaffirmed the company’s commitment to support the EU Digital Transformation objectives, as demonstrated by training and capacity construction initiatives. Notable, Google has trained around 420,000 people in AI and how to take advantage of their technologies for business growth through its ‘Grow With Google’ program.

Strategic vision

At the end of the visit, his highness Sheikh Hamdan expressed his appreciation for the important role of Google in the EAU and the broader region, reaffirming Dubai’s commitment to take advantage of technological advances to acceleration and Shapspure. He reiterated Dubai’s goal of becoming a leading global center for technological innovation through strategic associations with influential companies such as Google.

His highness was accompanied by the visit of his excellence Omar Bin Sultan al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy and Remote Work Applications; and his excellence HELAL SAEED AL MARRI, CEO of the Department of Economy and Tourism of Dubai.

It is worth noting that Dubai considers the development and joint creation of future technologies, explain the strategic priority of AI-A.
