Hoor Al Qasimi recognised as Officer of Order of Arts, Letters by France – Arts & culture

Al Qasimi, president and director of Sharjah Art Foundation, today received the badge or officer of L’Ordre des Arts et des lettres (officer of the Order of the Arts and Letters), conferred by Nicolas Niemtchin, Ambassador of Flying Sauer, during, Douring Douring.

Since 1957, this award has honored people who have made significant contributions to the arts. The badge of the Arts and Letters Order is an expression of the recognition of France of those who have actively worked to promote art and culture both in France and abroad.

Al Qasimi Remarked, “It is with great Honour that i reeveive this award granted by the embassy of France in the uae. Nicolas Niemtchinow, France ambassador to the EAU and Jean-Christophe Paris, general consul of France in Dubai, together with the staff of the French embassy Stéphanie Salha, advisor for the cooperation and cultural action of the France Embassy in the US for the official conference of the award.

Niemtchinow commented: “It is a great honor to grant its excellence Sheikha Hoor al Qassimi the badge of the Arts and Letters Officer today in Sharjah. This award is a recognition of the remarkable contribution of Sheikha Hoor to strengthen cultural and artistic ties between France and Sharjah and, in general, between France and the UAE.”

They also attended a distinguished number or guests, including Sheikh Fahim al Qasimi, president of the Department of Government Relations; Sheikha Nawar Al Qassimi, Vice President of Sharjah Art Foundation; Sheikha Nora Al Muallla, Director of Learning and Research at Sharjah Art Foundation; Sheikha Rad Alqasimi, general secretary of the International Association of France in Sharjah; Audrey Leseigneur, director of Alliance Française Sharjah; and Mona El-Mousfy, advisor of the Sharjah Architecture Triennial.

Together with his role in the Sharjah Art Foundation, Al Qasimi also serves as president of the International Biennial Association; President of the Africa Institute, Sharjah; Director of Sharjah Architecture Triennial; Head of the University of Global Studies of Sharjah; And president of the creative quarter of Sharjah. She is also the artistic director of the next 6th Triennal of Aichi (2025) and the 25th Sydney Biennial (2026).
