The Ministry of Education (MOE) has announced an update of educational transmissions (general and advanced) for students in cycle 3 in public schools and private schools that follow the Ministry’s curriculum, from the academic year 2025-2026.

This last update follows the conclusion of the in -depth field surveys of subject specialists in the educational field and parents, highlighting the tendencies of the students of recent years.
The update was announced the duration of a media conference at the MOE headquarters in Abu Dhabi in the presence of Sarah al Amiri, Minister of Education, Mohammed Al-Qasim, secretary of MOE, other ministry officials and representatives of the national media.

MOE explained that he has redesigned educational currents to align with the future aspirations of the students, support their higher education trips and improve their ability to maintain the rhythm of the evolving labor market.

The Ministry assured that the alignment of the curriculum was a key component of the updates, with fundamental scientific subjects taught to students in the general current to help refine their skills and perfect their talents.

Meanwhile, advanced transmission will focus on deeper scientific issues to prepare students for science -related university specialties.

Tired confirmed that thesis updates will not affect the academic plans of current students of grade 11 and grade 12. In addition, it was announced that students of grade 12 in the general current can replace physics with one of the alternative subjects described in the recent manual of issuance orientation of the ministry.

Tired also emphasized the importance of eighth grade students who choose their current in line with their university aspirations, since it has established a mechanism and conditions for registration in the advanced current.

According to the new structure, the advanced current will prepare students for university studies in fields such as science, engineering, medicine and pharmacy. Meanwhile, the general current will guide students towards specializations such as Humanities and Literature, Business Administration, Laws, Arts, Social Sciences and Police Sciences.

The Ministry also revealed that the thesis updated after consultations and coordination with several Higher Education Institutions (IEI) in the EAU Withe with the aim of guaranteeing a perfect transition to LabMounet.

As part of this effort, Cirent has issued a set of guidelines and directives within the academic framework for the education sector. These are designed to support educators to provide students with a more complete understanding of how to build their academic plans and choose paths that coincide with their professional ambitions. Updates also ensure that educational currents are in line with IEI’s admission criteria.

In addition, a detailed guide has published for students and parents, explaining the updates while emphasizing the important role of school counselors to offer guidance and support through the academic trip of the students.
