In his capacity as Dubai ruler, his highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum, vice president and Prime Minister of the EAU, issued Law No. (5) or 2025 in Public Health in Dubai. The law establishes an integral framework to promote public health and safeguard community and environmental well -being by focusing on disease prevention, medical care, food and product safety, and sustainable efforts to improve the quality of lightness.

The law also seeks to minimize health risks that affect people and communities in Dubai through precautionary measures and evidence -based practices that are aligned with local and international health regulations. It promotes greater coordination and collaboration at all levels to strengthen the preparation and response to face public health challenges throughout the Emirate.

The law requires full cooperation between public and private entities in Dubai and the relevant authorities to help them fulfill their responsibilities. This includes sharing data and statistics related to public health matters covered by law.

This law replaces any prior legislation that can conflict with its provisions. It enters into force 90 days after its publication in the Official Gazette.
