Mohammed bin Rashid issues law reconstituting the Dubai Media Council, chaired by Ahmed bin Mohammed – UAE

In His capacity as the rule of dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, ISSUED LAW No. (24) OF 2025 Reconstitution The Board of The Dubai Media Council, Chaired by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Bin Mohammed Bin Bin Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Rash Right Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai.

According to the law, Mona Ghanem to the MARRI, will serve as vice president and managing director of the Dubai Media Council, while Nehal Badri will serve the secretary general of the secretary. This law is effective as of April 15, 2025, and will be published in the Official Gazette.

The reconstitution of the Dubai Media Council Board is aligned with the expanded responsibilities described in Law No. (29) of 2024, which grants the Board of improved potentials and a broader mandate. This allows the Council to effectively implement development strategies and plans for the Dubai media sector, focusing on efficiency, agility and staying ahead of rapid global advances, ultimately, with the aim of achieving the highest levels of competitive.

It also aligns with the provisions of Decree No. (67) of 2024, which transfers the Dubai Film and TV Commission of the Dubai Development Authority to operate under the Council.

The decree also approves the establishment of the Dubai films and games commission for its highness Sheikh Ahmed Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum. The Commission now assumes the mandate of the Dubai Film and TV Commission, in line with the strategic objectives described in the legislation.

This movement underlines Dubai’s commitment to advance in the films and video game industries such as vital pillars of the new media panorama and the knowledge -based economy, with a strong potential for both local and worldwide growth.
