Ramadan and Eid e-commerce sales soar in MENA, led by Saudi Arabia and UAE, study shows

A key trend observed the duration of Ramadan and Eid al-Fit is the average increase in order value (AOV) from $ 41 to $ 49 year after year, particularly in high-spending countries such as Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia.

Among the countries of Mena, Kuwait led the way with an average order value of $ 125, followed by Saudi Arabia at $ 86, the EAU to $ 83, Qatar at $ 53 and Jordan at $ 48.

“As Ramadan and Eid al-Fit unite people, we are seeing more buyers who choose gifts to celebrate and strengthen their connections with their loved ones,” said Slava Bogdan, CEO of Flowwow.

“According to current trends, we hope that Eid al-Fit 2025 will establish new records, with sales of gifts that will grow by at least 50 percent, compared to last year in the EAU,” he said.

Bogdan said that flowers, sweets and gourmet sets remain among the best options, reflecting the combination of tradition and convenience.

Go up in mobile purchases

Duration of online purchases The season of Ramadán and Eid also saw a jump in orders through mobile devices, representing more than 40 percent or all purchases in Mena.

Mobile orders were simply higher in countries such as Saudi Arabia (more than 50 percent) and the EAU (from 39 percent to 47 percent), according to the study, adding that this increase is largely driven by younger generations such as Gen-Zalce.

The study said the gift market is also intensifying, with more players entering the sector to meet the growing demand.
