The EAU have clarified the rules for Emirati mothers with respect to pensions and social security payments.
The General Pension and Social Security Authority (GPSSA) has confirmed that, according to Federal Law No. 57 or 2023, Emirati Mothers who wish to take their jobs to take care of their children have the opportunity to do so for a maximum of Givars of Operation that continue to pay monthly contributions to ensure.
GPSSA highlighted Eau’s commitment to support and empower Emirati women in several fields, including legilation, education, economy and politics.
EAU pension policy for mothers
This dedication reflects the belief of nations in the important role that women play in the strengthening and development of the country, a vision established by the deceased Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who recognized the integral role of women in all aspects of life.
The EAU, under their wise and prudent leadership, continue to pursue this approach to bring women in all sectors, ensuring their active participation in the progress of the nation.
In recognition of the traditional roles and social contributions of the women’s emirati women, the pension laws have adapted to provide certain benefits, as described in Federal Law No. 57 or 2023, which offers optional contribution rights for women EMIRATI.
In addition, special provisions are granted to supporting women, in case of the death of their husband. For example, widows have the right to merge their pension amounts with those of their deceased spouses.
In addition, the Federal Law of the EAU No. 57 with respect to pensions and Social Security and their amendments redistribute the percentages of pensions among the beneficiaries through the elevation of the widow’s law actions.
If the widow has more than one child, she recovers an action board of 40 percent, while the child (man and woman) are entitled to 40 percent of the pension; The father or mother or both are entitled to 20 percent of the pension participation.
This distribution of shares has raised the percentages of the widows at the expense of their children, since it supports them after the death of the family support.
The law has also reduced the age and duration of the contribution for married, divorced or widowed women with children in the EAU since they have contributed with the GPSSA for 30 years and reached the age of 55.
This has resulted in a smaller year of contribution payments and three years of age for each of the children of an Emirati mother, and 3.5 years less in contributions and four years for the seventh son.
Support for women was evident before federal law. 57 or 2023 As shown in the Federal Law of the EAU No. 7 of 1999 with respect to pensions and social security and their amendments, which give women the right to buy ten years of service, while men can buy only five years.
The pension law also allows the reimbursement of participation for each daughter and sister.
However, the amount of the pension is immediately suspended in case a daughter marries an entity due to a divorce or leaves a job, while the child stops receiving a pension once it reaches the age of 21 or 28 years in case it is not the robust, reasons.
If the mother, the sister or the daughter widdle or divorced after the death of the pensioner and they recover an alternative salary or shipment, an action equal to the amount of the action is created at the time when the pension is due to life.
Moreoover, the law provides the same distribution of pension payments between daughters and sons, and daughters are entitled to the same amount of actions as sons, since the Federal Pension Law does not reduce the pension a legal inheritance.
Contrary to popular belief, a woman’s pension is distributed to the members of her eligible family, similar to that of a man.
