The EAU have awarded contracts to build naval patrol vessels to carry out missions, including pirate and smugglers monitoring.
The Seer Marine and Damen International announced that their joint company has assured an AED1.3BN ($ 354 million) contract with the Tawazun Council to manufacture patrol ships (PAHO) on the high seas advanced.
This four -year project will strengthen the Naval Capabilities of the EAU and improve maritime security.

PAHO will be equipped with naval vanguard technology and will be designed with advanced characteristics.
These ships will be able to carry out a wide range of missions, such as the EEZ patrol, the surveillance of the EEZ, the interdiction of EEZ (piracy, smuggling, protection of the environment), maritime unthinkable and functions of the coastal guard, search and rescue.

To guarantee the maximum fleet performance, the contract includes a comprehensive integrated logistics support (ILS) package. This integral framework guarantees predictive maintenance planning, voice training analysis and proactive inventory and obsolescence management.
The ILS is designed to allow the vessels to remain ready for the mission with a minimum inactivity time, improving the perfect functionality.
This important association between the already Marine, Damen International and the Tawazun Council marks a milestone in the EAU maritime defense industry.
By offering advanced naval ships and comprehensive support services, the joint company will contribute to the country’s over -sales efforts to strengthen its maritime safety and protect its national interests.
