EAU SUDAN SANCTIONSAuthor: Aisha Al Habibi

The EAU have confirmed that seven organizations sanctioned by the United States are not operating in the country.

On January 7, 2025, the United States appointed seven entities based in the EAU under its Sudan sanctions program. These entities include:

  • Capital Tap Holding LLC
  • Capital Tap Management Consultations LLC
  • Capital Tap General Trading LLC
  • Creative Python LLC
  • To Zumoroud and Al Yaqoot Gold and Jewelers LLC
  • Al Jil al Qadem General Trading LLC
  • Horizon Advanced Solutions General Trading LLC

By notifying the designations of sanction, the EAU initiated their own research on entities and related people, seeking additional information from US authorities to support these investigations.

The Ministry of Justice has confirmed that none of the seven entities has an active commercial license in the United Arab Emirates, nor are they currently operating in the country.

The relevant authorities continue to monitor any potential suspicious activity in accordance with the laws applied in the United Arab Emirates.
