The president of the EAU, his highness, Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed al Nahyan today welcomed his excellence Hristijan Mickoski, prime minister of the Republic of Macedonia del Norte, who is on a working visit to the EAU.
Duration in QASR to Shati in Abu Dhabi, his highness welcomed the visit of the Prime Minister, expressing the hope that he will contribute to advance in the joint efforts to strengthen economic, commercial and investment ties between the two countries. The prime minister conveyed the greetings of his Gordana excellence Siljanovska-Davkova, president of Macedonia del Norte, along with his best wishes for the continuous progress and prosperity of the EAU. In turn, his highness asked the prime minister to convey his greetings to the president of Macedonia del Norte along with his wishes of greater growth and development for his country and his people.
The two parties explored the opportunities to expand cooperation, partly in key areas such as economy, investment, development, renewable energy, sustainability, infrastructure, tourism and the sectors of others for both nations.
His highness and prime minister also discussed a series of regional and international issues of mutual interest. His highness reaffirmed the EAU’s commitment to strengthen their development associations with Balkan countries and to support all efforts that promote peace and stability in the region. He underlined the long -standing approach of the EAU or legalization of peace and solving disputes through dialogue and diplomacy, in support of development, stability and prosperity for all.
Prime Minister Mickoski expressed his hope that the next period will witness the cooperation between the two countries for the benefit of their villages. They affirmed that the EAU and Macedonia del Norte share ambitions to advance in their bilateral collaboration, and highlighted the wide range of opportunities for cooperation in multiple fields that could support the objectives of both nations for sustainable development.
During the meeting, his highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed al Nahyan and his excellence, Dr. Hristijan Mickoski, witnessed the announcement of two memoranda of understanding: the first on economic cooperation between the two countries and the second between the Gargash Diplomatic Academy of Anwar and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs or North Medonia.
At the meeting and the announcement attended the sheikh Khaled Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed al Nahyan, the heir prince or Abu Dhabi; HH Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; HH Sheikh Theab Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Presidential Court for the Development and Affairs of Fallen Heroes; HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; Sheikh Mohammed Bin Hamad Bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, advisor to the president of the EAU; Suhail Bin Mohammed Faraj Faris al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure; Maryam Bint Ahmed Al Hammadi, Minister of State and General Secretary of the EAU Cabinet; Faisal Abdulaziz Mohammed Al Bannai, advisor to the president of the EAU for strategic research and advanced technology issues; Dr. Ahmed Mubarak al Mazrouei, president of the Office of the President of Strategic Affairs and President of the Executive Office of Abu Dhabi; Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, president of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi); and several senior officials.
Members of the delegation also attended the Prime Minister of Macedonia del Norte.
