The EAU and the China Autonomous Region of Guangxi Zhuang explore opportunities to improve bilateral economic cooperation in sectors of mutual interest.
The new economy, entrepreneurship, air transport, advanced industries, renewable energy, electronic commerce, logistics services and tourism are among the sectors that could see bilateral cooperation.
Strengthening the economic ties of the EAU-Guangxi
This was decided at a meeting between Abdulla Bin Touq to Marri, Minister of Economy, and Lan Tianli, Governor or Autonomous Region of Guangxi Zhuang, Monday.
The meeting also explored opportunities to strengthen public-private partnerships between the two countries, partly in digital trade, intelligent manufacturing, advanced technologies and infrastructure investment.
The discussions between the two also covered the potential to expand cooperation in food security, sustainable agriculture, free zones, tourism, air transport and smart cities.
Al Marri said that EAU are committed to strengthening collaboration with the Guangxi region in vital sectors, since economic relations between the EAU and China serve as a successful model of strategic associations based on diversity and innovation.
The minister also highlighted the importance of continuing to explore new investment and development opportunities that contribute to the sustainable development of both economies.
Noting that the EAU serve as a strategic entrance door for the Middle East and African markets, to the Marri said that the country’s integral economic ecosystem allows its partners, including Guangxi Zhuang, new markets and facilitating.
The Chinese side welcomed the possibility of expanding economic cooperation with the EAU and developing new mechanisms for the exchange of knowledge in areas such as technology, logistics services and port services.
Both parties also emphasized the importance of continuous exchange of delegations and participation in exhibitions and economic events, recognizing thesis platforms as a key to improving associations between their commercial communities and identifying new investment opportunities.
China is the main worldwide commercial partner of the EAU, which represents a significant part of the country’s non -oil trade.
Emirates is currently the home of about 15,000 Chinese companies operating in several sectors, which reflects the growing confidence of the Chinese business community in the country’s business environment.
The bilateral trade between the EAU and Guangxi reached $ 969 million in 2024, promoted by remarkable growth in cooperation between free zones on both sides.
