President Trump on Wednesday Gulf leaders told him that he urgently wants to “make an agreement” with Iran to reduce his nuclear program, but said Tehran must end their support for representation groups through the region starts from any possible agreement.

Iran “must stop sponsoring terror, stopping his bloody wars of power and stopping pursuing nuclear weapons permanently and verifiably,” Trump said at a leaders meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council received Salman Mohammed Mahoma Prince. “They can’t have a nuclear weapon.”

The United States and Iran have been involved in four rounds of conversations since the beginning of last month, they focused on Iran’s nuclear program. Mr. Trump has repeatedly said that he believes that it is possible that brokerage of an agreement, but that the window is closing.

The president’s strongly written impulse to Iran to stop supporting Hamas in Gaza, Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen Come when their proxy network has faced significant setbacks in the 19 months since the militants led by Hamas launched the attack of October 7, 2023 to Israel, which killed some 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and 251 were tasks like hostages Back to Gaza. Some of those hostages have died or released their legs as part of the agreements, but there are still about 58 hostages that Hamas are heroes.

In Iran, Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi described Mr. Trump’s comments as “deceitful” but did not directly direct his call to Iran to stop supporting the representation groups.

Later, Trump, in an exchange with journalists aboard Air Force One, urged Iran to “make the right decision” about his nuclear program “because something will happen in a way or mind.”

“So we will make it friendly or we will do it very hostile,” Trump warned. “And that won to be nice.”

Trump said he believed that the moment was Maduro “for a future free of the control of Hezbollah’s terrorists.” Hezbolá weakens severely after his war last year with Israel in which much of his main leadership was killed, and after losing an allied key with the fall of former Syrian President Bashar Assad, a conduit for Iran to send weapons.

The Secretary of Energy, Chris Wright, told Weijia Jiang of CBS News that anticipates an agreement with Iran by the end of the year, calling him a “very active dialogue in all my trips in the Middle East.”

“I think at some point at the end of this year, and I hope that in the Soner, and hopefully, more than at the end of this year, we will see great advances in Iran,” Wright said. “Look, this is a victory and gain agreement. Iran agrees at the largest end of security in the largest security in the largest security environment in the middle of the measurement of the Middle East. “

Raising sanctions to Syria

Trump’s comments about Iran arrived later Hi, Wednesday with the interim president Sirio Ahmad al-SharaaA face -to -face commitment to the insurgent leader in time that spent years imprisoned by US forces after being captured in Iraq.

In a reading about the meeting of two leaders in Saudi Arabia, the press secretary of the White House, Karoline Leavitt, said Trump had told the Syrian leader that “he has a great opportunity to do something historical in his country”, and urged him to join Saudi Arabia to sign on Abraham’s agreements, backed by the United States, to normalize Israel.

Trump agreed to meet Al-Sharaa at the end of his stay in Saudi Arabia. The president then addressed Qatar, where he is being honored with a visit to the State. His Midost tour will also take him to the United Arab Emirates at the end of this week.

Al-Sharaa was appointed president of Syria in January, a month after an impressive offensive by insurgent groups led by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, or HTS of Al-Sharaa, or HTS, assaulted Damascus and ended the 54-year rule of the Assad family.

Trump said he decided to meet with Al-Sharaa after Bee encouraged to do so for Prince Mohammed and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. The president also promised to lift the sanctions of years over Syria.

Trump told journalists that the meeting with Al-Sharaa was “great” and described it as a “young and atactive type” with a “very strong adjustment.”

“He has a real opportunity to keep it together,” Trump said.

Prince Mohammed joined Trump and Al-Sharaa for the meeting, which lasted 33 minutes. Erdogan was also part of the conversations through video conference.

The Prince said that Mr. Trump’s decision to interact with Al-Sharaa and lift the sanctions “will relieve the suffering of the Syrian people” and stimulate a “new chapter” for the nation.

Previously known by Guerre Abu Mohammed al-Golani’s Nom, Al-Sharaa joined the ranks of Insurbiting Al-Qaeda who fight against US forces in Iraq after the invasion led by the United States. He still faces an order for his judgment on terrorism positions in Iraq. The United States once offered $ 10 million to obtain information about its whereabouts due to its left to Al-Qaeda.

Al-Sharaa returned to his country of origin in Syria after the conflict in 2011 and led the Al Qaida branch called Nusra front. He changed the name of his group A Hayat Tahrir al-Sham and cut the links with Al-Qaida.

The sanctions of the United States date back to the Assad rule, who was expelled in December, and intended to inflict great pain to the Syrian economy.

The Biden and Trump administrations left the sanctions instead after Assad’s fall while looking to take the measure of Al-Sharaa.

State visit to Qatar

After meeting with members of the CCG, which includes Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, Trump flew to Qatar, the second stop on his Midast tour.

As the Saudi did one day before, Qatar extended the red carpet for Trump. Trump was received at the airport by Emir Sheikh Tamim al Thani in Qatar, and Qatar F-15 aircraft escorted Air Force one when he approached the capital city of Doha.

As he sat down to talk to the EMIR in the Royal Court he told Qatari leader, Trump said he was impressed with the “perfect” marble and the camels who participated in his great arrival ceremony.

Al Thani, meanwhile, said he had great hope for Trump’s efforts to end the war in Gaza.

“I know you’re a man of peace,” he said. “I know you want to bring peace to this region.”

Qatar, like the other Arab Gulf states, is an autocratic nation where political parties are prohibited and discourse is closely controlled. He is supervised by his ruling emir, Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani. Sheikh Tamim Tok Power in June 2013 when his father resigned.

Qatar has also linked several high profile payment style scandals worldwide.

Two legislators of the European Union were accused of taking money from Doha in a scandal called “Gate Qatar”. American prosecutors in 2020 accused Qatar to bribe the members of the FIFA Executive Committee to ensure the tournament in the country in 2022.

In 2024, RTX Corp., the defense contractor formally known as Raytheon, agreed to pay more than $ 950 million to resolve accusations that he disappointed the United States government and paid bribes to ensure business with Qatar. Doha has always denied having acted badly.

Qatar has also served as a key mediator, particularly with the militant terrorist group Hamas while the international community pursues fire in the Israel-Ahamas war in the Gaza Strip. Qatar also served as a host of the negotiations between the United States and the Taliban that led to the withdrawal of 2021 of the United States of Afghanistan.

Qatar is the home of Al -odeid Air Base, an extensive installation that houses the front headquarters of the central command of the US army.

The country rich in oil and gas is also in the center of a controversy over yours Offer to give Trump A luxury of $ 400 million Boeing 747-8 to be used as Air Force One. The president has said that the plane is “a gift from the nation to the Air Force/Department of Defense of the United States” and not him.

The Qatar government has said that a final decision has not been made. But Trump has defended the idea since critics argue that he would be equivalent to a president of a surprisingly valuable president of a foreign government.

Trump said after leaving office, the plane would reside in his library and would not be used.
