Healthcare, IT sectors lead the highest DWTC events in 2024
The health, medical and scientific health sector organized 25 events, attracting 465,000 attendees, an increase of 69 percent of 2023. The key events included Whx Expo Dubai, AEDC, Duphat, Whx Labs Dubai and Dubai Derma.
The Food, Hotel and Catering sector attracted 283,000 attendees, representing 14 percent of the participation of mice, led by the manufacture of gulf food and gulfos. The information technology sector registered 281000 attendees, promoted by GITEX Global.
Other high -performance sectors included the consumer goods sector, attracting 112,000 attendees and the leisure sector, sports and trips, with 110,000 attendees. High performance exhibitions included Big 5, Beauty World, Wetex, Automechanika and Intersec.
DWTC organized 25 conferences in 2024, doubling the number of the previous year, with almost 90,000 participants. The key events included Ayush Conference, Arab Media Forum, Global Freight Summit and Meidam.
Fourteen meetings of the International Association attracted about 104,000 participants, three times more than the previous year, with notable events that include the MDRT Global Conference, WCA World and the World Congress on Smart Transport Systems.
The Dubai (Dec) exhibition center organized 24 events in 2024, attracting 128,000 participants. Nine important exhibitions and conferences brought 75,000 attendees and 1,300 exhibiting companies. Notable events included Personalized Emirates, Dubai Muscle Show and National Service Carrera Fery.
DWTCS AED10 billion expansion or DEC add 64,000 square meters or permanent exhibition space by 2026, increasing total capacity to 140,000 square meters. By 2031, December will cover 180,000 square meters, accommodation up to 65,000 visitors daily.
