UAE approves plan to develop new laws with AI

The EAU will develop and monitor laws in the country using a new artificial intelligence system.

Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid al Maktoum, vice president, prime minister and ruler of Dubai, announced the new legislative process after a meeting of the EAU cabinet in QASR al Watan, Abu Dhabi.

Duration The meeting, the EAU cabinet approved the launch of the first integrated regulatory intelligence ecosystem within the EAU government.

New laws of the EAU

This new system for the development of legislation and laws, which is the first of your child worldwide, is based on the most advanced artificial intelligence approaches and solutions, marking a first in intelligent governance.

The ecosystem introduces a proactive approach to legislative planning, which allows the Government to stay ahead of the rapid changes in geopolitical, economic, social and technological landscapes global.

Sheikh Mohammed said: “Today, I presided over the meeting of the Cabinet in QASR al Watan in Abu Dhabi, where we make key decisions to advance the legislative processes. We approved the establishment of the regulatory office within the cabinet.

“This office will work on the creation of a comprehensive legislative plan that brings together all federal and local laws of the EAU, connecting them through artificial intelligence with judicial decisions, executive procedures and public services.

“The new system will allow us to track the daily impact of laws on our people and the economy using large -scale data, and will regularly suggest updates to our legislet.

“The system will be linked to the main global research centers to follow the best international policies and legislative practices, adapting them to adapt to the unique circumstances of the EAU.

“This new legislative system, promoted by artificial intelligence, will change the way we create laws, which makes the process faster and more precise.

“It will ensure that our legislative framework stands out, aligning our laws with global best practices while keeping faithful to the unique path of our rapid development.”

The new model includes the development of the largest national legislative database, which integrates not only federal and local legislation, but also judicial decisions, government processes, services and systems at the field level.

It is designed to monitor global legislative development in real time and evaluate its relevance to the EAU. It will also identify gaps or inconsistencies within the national legal framework.

This dynamic ecosystem allows EAU to evolve from traditional static laws to living and receptive regulations.

It preserves the national legislative nature shaped by the vision of founding parents and social values ​​while covering the flexibility and speed of the regulation driven by AI.

The system will accelerate the legislative process by up to 70 percent, using AI tools to reduce the time and effort required for research, writing, evaluation and promulgation.

As part of this initiative, the US Cabinet also approved the establishment of the Regulatory Intelligence Office under the General Secretariat of the Cabinet.

This new office will direct the design, implementation and coordination of the system in association with federal and local authorities, as well as interested parties of the private sector.

The measure reflects the Eau’s commitment to build a new generation of governance that combines human vision with the efficiency of AI to create faster, more intelligent and more adaptable legislation.
