The EAU have announced important changes in educational currents for students in public and private schools in the country.
The changes will affect the subjects studied by the students in the country and will impact the options for students who plan to follow education at the university level.
The Ministry of Education (MOE) announced the update of educational transmissions (general and advanced) for students in cycle 3 in public schools and private schools that follow the Ministry’s curriculum, from the academic year 2025-2026.
Eau changes in education
This last update continues to the conclusion of in -depth field surveys of specialists in the field in the educational field and parents, highlighting the tendencies of the students of recent years.
The update was announced the duration of a media conference at MOE headquarters in Abu Dhabi in the presence of Sarah al Amiri, Minister of Education and Mohammed Al-Qasim, secretary of MOE, other ministry officials.
MOE explained that he has redesigned educational currents to align with the future aspirations of the students, support their higher education trips and improve their ability to maintain the rhythm of the evolving labor market.
The Eau Ministry assured that the alignment of the curriculum was a key component of the updates, with fundamental scientific issues taught students in the general current to help refine their skills and perfect their talents.
Meanwhile, advanced transmission will focus on deeper scientific issues to prepare students for science -related university specialties.
Tired confirmed that thesis updates will not affect the academic plans of current students of grade 11 and grade 12.
In addition, it was announced that students of grade 12 in the general current can replace physics with one of the alternative subjects described in the recent emission guidance manual of the Ministry.
Tired also emphasized the importance of eighth grade students who choose their current in line with their university aspirations, since it has established a mechanism and conditions for registration in the advanced current.

According to the new structure, the advanced transmission will prepare students for university studies in fields such as:
- Sciences
- Engineering
- Medicine
- Pharmacy
Meanwhile, the general current will guide students towards specializations such as:
- Humanities and literature
- Business Administration
- Law
- Doctor
- Social Sciences
- Police Sciences
The Ministry also revealed that the thesis updated after consultations and coordination with several Higher Education Institutions (IEI) in the EAU Withe with the aim of guaranteeing a perfect transition to LabMounet.
As part of this effort, the MOE has issued a set of guidelines and directives within the academic framework for the education sector in the EAU.
These are designed to support educators to provide students with a more complete understanding of how to build their academic plans and choose paths that coincide with their professional ambitions.
Updates also ensure that educational currents are in line with IEI’s admission criteria.
In addition, a detailed guide for students and parents has been published, explaining the updates while emphasizing the important role of school counselors to offer guidance and support through the students’ academic trip in the EAU.
