Adanis said to be close to buying Emaar’s Indian arm for $1.4 billion

It is said that the Indian billionaire Gautam Adani is in advanced conversations with Emaar Properties to buy his Indian unit for $ 1.4 billion.

There have been EMAAR reports that plan to sell their Indian arm, and Root -based real estate in Dubai presented a clarification to the Financial Market of Dubai in January this year that I was really in conversations with several companies, including Adani companies.

On Thursday, Bloomberg, citing unidentified sources, reported that the transaction could include a non -quoted Adani unit that infuses approximately $ 400 million in capital. He also said that the two parties could reach an agreement already in April.

Adani Group Eyes Emaar India Buy

Both Adani Group and Emaar did not comment when Bloomberg requested it.

Adani Group is currently involved in Dharavi Slum’s re -urbanization of Mumbai. One of the largest neighborhoods in the world, Dharavi was where the film Superhit Hollywood Slumdog Millionaire was based.

The group is also the best bidder to rebuild one of Mumbai’s largest housing projects, which is estimated to be $ 4.1 billion.
