DP World and Syria Sign $800 Million MoU to Develop Tartous Port – Business – Economy and Finance

The General Lands Ports Authority and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Dubai Ports World (DP World) worth $ 800 million, a strategic step aimed at services of strength and logistics structure in Syria.

The memorandum includes a comprehensive investment in the development, management and operation of a multi -purple terminal in the Tatous port, contributing to increase the efficiency of the port, increase its operational capacity and improve its fundamental trade.

The two parties also agreed to cooperate in the establishment of industrial areas and free zones, in addition to dry ports and cargo traffic stations in several strategic areas within the Syrian Arab Republic, which reflects the development and particular transport.
