On January 7, 2025, the United States appointed seven entities based in the United Arab Emirates under its Sudan sanctions program. These entities include Capital Tap Holding LLC, Capital Tap Management Consultants LLC, Capital Tap General Trading LLC, Creative Python LLC, Zumoroud and Al Yaqoot Gold & Jewelers LLC, to the Jil Al Qadem General Trading Llc.

By notifying the designations of sanctions, the EAU initiated their own research on entities and related people, seeking additional information from US authorities to support these investigations.

The Ministry of Justice has confirmed that none of the seven entities has an active commercial license in the EAU, nor are they currently operating in the EAU. The relevant authorities of the EAU continue to monitor any potential suspicious activity in accordance with the laws of the EAU applied.
