According to the agreement, the Enoch group will provide green hydrogen fuel to municipal buses with RTA hydrogen.
ENOC will also provide technical support and data on green hydrogen fuel replenishment to help RTA to carry out a comprehensive feasibility study.
Both parties are committed to maintaining the highest operational and security standards through the project.
Al Falasi said: “Green hydrogen representatives are a convincing alternative to traditional energy sources, and as EAU focus on developing a hydrogen economy, we are proud to be at the forefront of their adoption in the EAU.”
Bahrozy said that the agreement is an important step towards the expansion between the RTA and ENOC group in the use of green hydrogen to operate the means of RTA transport, including public buses and marine transport, so that they are more sustainable and environmental.
Green hydrogen, produced by water electrolysis using renewable electricity, such as solar energy and wind, emits zero carbon dioxide duration (CO2).
In addition to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and diversification of energy sources, green hydrogen increases the driving range of vehicles.
