UAE appoints Badr Jafar as Special Envoy for Business and Philanthropy

The United Arab Emirates have designated Badr Jafar as a special envoy for business and philanthropy, a measure destined to deepen ties between the government, the business and charitable sectors while the Gulf country seeks to strengthen development.

The appointment was announced by Sheikh Abdullah Bin Zayed al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the EAU and the Deputy Prime Minister, and occurs as part of the broader strategy of the country to improve cooperation between the public and private sectors.

Jafar, an outstanding businessman from Emirati and Social Entrepreneurs, will have the task of connecting national and international actors from the private sector with government institutions, mobilizing support for diplomatic initiatives of the EAU and advocating much.

The measure is aligned with the long -term development visions of the EAU, including the ‘We the Thra the UAE 2031’ ‘agenda and the 2071’ Cenennial Plan, which aims to diversify the economy, position the country as a global influence and enthusiasm.

The non -oil sectors contributed approximately 75 percent of the real GDP of UAES in the first nine months of 2024, growing by 4.5 percent year -on -year, a sign of the expanding role of the private sector in the economic landscape of Country.

The United Arab Emirates were also among the 10 main countries of the 2024 Giving Index world, underlining their growing emphasis on philanthropy and social impact on the global stage.
