UAE fines 22 recruitment offices over worker violations

EAU have the 22 FRED recruitment offices on violations of domestic workers in the country.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (Mohre) has tasks of legal and administrative action against 22 recruitment offices of domestic workers in February this year for committing 37 violations of the Federal Law of Decrees on domestic workers.

The violations consisted of not reimburseing all or part of the recruitment rates that are made to employers within the legally mandatory period of two weeks.

This period begins from the date on which the domestic worker was returned to the recruitment office or on the date it was reported that the worker stopped working.

A list of the names and addresses of all the recruitment offices of national workers in the EAU is available on the official website of the Ministry.

In January 2025, the Ministry toke similar legal and administrative actions against 14 recruitment agencies of domestic workers, informing 22 violations and applying appropriate measures.
